From San Pedro Ca. actually LA proper. Annexed for the harbor, Pedro's geographical location is known as Hollywood's backlot and only 30 minutes away, but it might as well be the moon. Known by the rest of LA for the Port, where longshoremen strike and homeless make camps. San Pedro is physically and mentally secluded from LA and with only 4 ways in. I grew up here - boiling in the melting pot. Pedro is it's own style. Who knew? Do you care? Exactly! When the 1st video cameras became available in 1987 I pre-vlogged music. Who knew my annoying tactics to obtain footage would become a skill? When I started there was no one to copy and nowhere to publish. I had to tie people down in front of a 19' Sony Trinitron for views. RUclips? Nope. Stay tuned kiddies. I am in the process of editing 33 years of rants, music and some true conspiracy stories that we called facts. Kill me now

KAGE KOMBAT - What's he looking at?
The Original Octagon was created here in San Pedro and this video is of a typical fight night with fighters in inside the cage at The Dancing Waters. Featured is the exclusive Kage Kombat Theme song by Bart Bollen which is the reason I shot this video in the first place over 20 years ago. We attended the fight to get a feel for the action because Bart had been asked to compose an event theme they might want to use, if it was any good of course and we thought an MTV music style video would be a good way to present it.

I hung with her back in the day in Milwaukee... last I saw her was in Taos being her amazing, artistic self. I miss her.
George Hurley is a special drummer. Very respectful of the song and at the same time capable of dressing it in a singular way. Equipped with a rare finesse in the punk world, never gratuitous or out of context because he built the plot of the sound of the band precisely thanks to his skill on the drums, becoming an inner and necessary part of each tune. Definitely a reference.
Fuck. I wish so much that I'd been around to see this band in person. So, so, so good.

Larry and I were best friends for a long time, along with Duane Summers and Robert Hoyt we played a lot of music together. RIP old friend. Chris North was in my band "The Living End" in junior high, he went to Dodson and I went to Dana.
He was my uncle, his brother Danny is my dad. RIP to both.
