Great review and I totally agree about the red line on the screen. I sold my GW-M5610 because I wasn’t a fan of the red line. I own a DW-5200 from 1984 and that was the ‘hero’, of the hockey puck video fame, that boosted the sales of the first G-Shock, DW-5000, which did not sell well, almost killing of the G-Shock before it started. The hero look has endured through the DW-5600C and E ever since. The dash of blue just works.
The 5610u has the 3495 module this has the 3496 module...difference being multiband 6 on 5610u ...oh 5610u slightly smaller too...subjective i guess....The 5610u in my opinion is the very best square still to date for the money...Saying that this G-5600ue has that awesome DW5600 look still...
Poor experience with this Casio G-Shock 5600 tough solar version watch. Just with in 3 or 4 months normal usage without swimming or other extreme sports, Water vapour droplets developed inside glass obstructing time view. Service center refused to replace the watch. They only changed some parts and dried the water droplets inside... After 2 or 3 months the water droplets returned. Waste! Pathetic product and poor service from Casio G-Shock brand! "BEWARE: Casio G-Shock watches are nor covered under warranty for water seepage cases."
Just got this one! I now have almost every “U” variant. Love them so much. Such fantastic daily watches. My only complaint is that for costing almost $100 and being a 3496 module it uses the same stamped back plate as the DW-5600E rather than the machined one of the GW-M5610U to which it is more similar.
Hi and thank you for a wonderful tutorial. Quick question please: I've just purchased one like this however I'm finding that it came with the battery on 'M'. I left it in the sunlight for abt 15 minutes and it went to 'H' for like about 10minutes and thereafter returned to 'm'. What could be the problem, should I return back to Amazon?
If I was a billionaire, this would still be my main watch. Comfortable, reliable, beautiful (I think), and tough as nails. I upgraded from my 7-year old non-solar to this one yesterday. So happy

Just gifted myself this piece for my MSc graduation. Can't wait for it arrival. PS: My first proper watch
How to difference between fake and original one
The new backlight is just BAD! Now I have to look for the EL-watches to get one of these...
My watch shows module number 3495 . Why so? Plz reply
Thanks for the tutorial, bought this today in EORS.
How many hours to keep in sunlight for the watch to get charge high. Mine from the time i got its in middle level
Is there a difference between this and the gwm5610U?
I personally didn’t like this model..DW291 seems better..
GW-M5610U has the module 3495. The only difference between 3495 and 3496 is 3495 has radio signal receiver. 0:19

Module 3496 no longer has the alert flash. When the alarm went off, the light blinked too. At least I didn't find how to activate...does anyone know?
Looks like the original GW-5000U with the dash lines under the time.
I did the same as you the red line and negative display made me sell both watches. Hopefully this one ticks the boxes. Great review. Thank you.
Hello sir, is there any actual difference between this model and the 5610U?
Great review

You have to wait 11 hrs in H to get it charged fully in indirect sunlight (50k lux)

How's it?
@@deepworld7 Good!

Please measure the weight of this watch(G-5600UE). Officially it should be 51g, but my watch is 47g.
Same comment everywhere
How to check its genuinity?
How many of you noticed that the Time is 6-56 while he introduce G-56
