My first-hand account of climbing to the summit Mt. Kilimanjaro with Kiliwarrior expeditions, via the 9 day Lemosho/Western Breach route.
yeah the new eras bravest climbers.... today calling that climbing, Alpinism, is an insult to the Alpinism and to the Alpinists who risked their lives to go up there with such "excellent" and technical gear and clothes had people today use would die going to office in the morning🤣..... in reality would better call it something like an Extreme Via Ferratas.... yeah I know, it's only for the sake of dramatization touch needed for public impact🤣
Safe to say that I won't be doing that climb in this lifetime - but thanks for filming it so I could experience what it's like from the safety of my living room.. Having said that: there WAS a moment during the climb where I almost fell off my chair.
Oh, how I love standing on the ground!
Lol, I think she was shaming you for you American behavior.
Bro wanted a naked picture from 4600 meters high
Oh I’ve taken naked pics from much higher haha
BRO YOU COULD GET A DRONE TO FILM TOO, THIS WOULD ADD MASALA TO YOUR VIDEOS
Comes to Nepal Mt.Everest🗻climbing
I solo climbed the Matterhorn in August this year, I started doing alpine climbs in January, I am pretty proud of the achievement only 7 months after starting alpinism. The greatest thing I have ever done, still feels like a dream. Writing these words help :)
I would also only do it solo. Most people call me crazy for my solo climbs - but this is when I feel the most free- and safer than attached to another person with a rope, who I have to blindly trust.
@@Lotterboy I agree, it may not be the standard way of doing things but in my view and after I've already climbed it, I wold say being roped in the Matterhorn is completely useless 90% of the time, specially in the lower sections until you reach the shoulder above Solvay
Seeing as you have climbed 2 out of the 7 are you perhaps aiming to complete all 7?
beautifully shot with respectful commentary. thanks for sharing
How was the down climb?
I loved your use of google earth! Great video and awesome hike!
Sad that they were stuck up there forever. I was wondering how they got down but since it ended I assume they didn't. RIP to this brave guy! Seems a little much for a hobby though. To each his own. 🧐
Really cool; I don't see how the guide is protecting the fall, if you fell, there's no anchor; he's just short roping you and hoping you don't fall? It seems if you fall, he'd fall..
There should be no ladders or ropes on this mountain ....
The Matterhorn is not the most beautiful mountain in the world. That would be Mt. Fuji.
Amazing hike! im planning it for 2025. Can you bring a drone on the hike? and tips of what youd do differently if you went again?
don't need the dramatic music....sigh.
I think that’s a cool mountain. But I am scared just watching someone else one slip from being gone to oblivion
Naked picture? Are you okay brother
I am Matterhorn lover❤now because of you people for first time seen every Cell of this giant beauty. Amazing job and filming. Thanks for sharing . God bless🙏🏼❤️🇦🇺
Really well done. I climbed this on 3 August and had to crampon up at the Solvay hut. Spicy. Great video.
Absolutely bonkers but… what an achievement and such a beautiful video.
Up is one thing but how the hell do you come down?
Mediocre. Basically sherpas did all the work for this lazy ass.
Leave out the intrusive music. It's ridiculous. Pathetic fake drama. I'm here for information not music. Shame, you spoiled a good video of stunning scenery
And he exaggerates the difficulty of the climb. The Eiger North face is way more dangerous, also the Mont Blanc.
I can imagine climbing up, but the downclimb has to be wicked hard and much more dangerous.
Why not drop the music?
Incredible journey! Excited to see what you do next.
Are you tethered to your guide…? I thought you were tied off but he’s got the rope in his hands lol
The coolest mountaineering video i have ever seen 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🥹🥹love from india 🇮🇳!!
good gawd! that guide didn't even break a sweat, you can almost be sure he isn't panting as joey is doing.
odd not to show the descent which is frequently more dangerous
Nice job! Curious what the guide costs these days.
I would assume making it back down to the bottom is what counts the most... because if you don't make it back down, you can't tell anyone you climbed it, because you're dead.
Absolutely brilliant video. Congrats on the successful ascent! I would say that the Alps' most dangerous mountain is by far the Eiger. No fixed ropes or ladders there :) (with the exception of the Hinterstoisser traverse)
Uh, like, an interesting c o n t r a s t to e.g. Honnold and a humble free solo up El Cap. Highest respect is due since it's more tricky for sure than just taking the cable car to Monte Rosa. Really! Much better!! Seriously!!! And all before breakfast with no long years of prep needed. So good and clever thank you!
Easily one of the best produced videos I have ever seen on YT
how hard must it be 100 years ago without all this fixing ropes, ladders and so on and with the old equipment 100 years ago it was available. Really hard to climb such peaks
Some dude ran this AND BACK in 3h:59min (From the Village Zermat to the peak) insane
Good video! Well put together.
As someone who is still fit at 55, but not a trained mountaneer, I would love to climb the Matterhorn. Realistically, I think reaching the Hornlihutte is about what I would want to attempt next time I'm in Zermatt. Any thoughts on what a person needs to consider when attempting this peak?
Epic video and climb. Well done. I love hiking in the mountains but I'd get vertigo climbling something like the Matterhorn. Would love to do it but seeing this I realise what a challenge it must be.
worth a million views and a million subscribers
Incredible :) What did you use to film the video?
As an avid moutain adventurer myself, this is best video about moutain climbing I have ever watched. The music and narrative voice, tone, and climbing footage are supreme. This is period the best, way better than any other professional mountain documentary. Keep it up with good work. Stay safe!
Way better than any professional mountain documentary? Sure, lol…
Does part two show the other half of the climb?
nah. too high 😂👏🏾
"Everyone has climbed the Matterhorn, Joey. Know what time it is???"
I lived in Switzerland a bit in my early 20s and visited many times thereafter. Took me 20 years just to SEE the Matterhorn as I always got bad weather. Nearly cried when I finally saw it aged 45. This video was beautiful and brought back some nice memories. It also gave me anxiety watching you wander across that knife edge at the summit! Great production and presentation of that amazing mountain. Congrats.
