Life as a Cancer Survivor | My Cancer Story
Просмотров 6 тыс.4 года назад
Today I'm sharing my story about life as a cancer survivor. I talk about my cancer follow-up visits and how chemotherapy can damage your heart and lungs. I also describe my own experiences with life as a college student at Duke University immediately after finishing chemotherapy. During my regular check-ups, I would get CT scans, bone scans, x-rays, blood tests, echocardiograms, and hearing tes...
My Chemotherapy Experience | My Cancer Story
Просмотров 15 тыс.4 года назад
This is my cancer story where I explain the side effects of chemotherapy and what it's like to fight cancer as a teenager. My cancer treatment plan was a pretty common method of fighting off osteosarcoma in teenagers. My doctors utilized three chemotherapy drugs: cisplatin, doxorubicin, and high dose methotrexate. After about two months of chemo, my tumor was surgically removed by cutting open ...

Просмотров 333 тыс.4 года назад
I was diagnosed with osteosarcoma when I was 17 years old. This is my cancer journey where I explain my symptoms and the diagnosis I received when I was a teenager. My cancer experience is a pretty common example of how someone finds out that they have bone cancer. It starts with joint and bone pain that is often attributed to sports-related injuries, but isn't solved by normal physical therapy...

Просмотров 26 тыс.4 года назад
This is how I got a triple major at Duke University. I also answer common questions about majors: What's it like to triple major? How do you plan your college majors? How useful is a triple major? Should you get a double major or triple major? Is it even worth it to triple major? This is a great resource for those of you who are in college and high school and are curious about any of these ques...

How are you doing, Dennis? I don’t see your clip anymore, I wonder how you are doing? Please give us an update you are ok 🙏🙏.
Ive driven by this place many times going from Dubuque to Madison. Thank you for sharing this.
Hi whats the trouble shooting when Epic is running so slow? 🥴
U never talk about the process of how getting a triple major is possible with the staff and stuff
While Epic's 'Disneyland' headquarters are undeniably impressive, it's hard to overlook the staggering expense, especially in the context of rising healthcare costs. While their software innovations may streamline processes and benefit healthcare, I think we should question whether such lavish spending truly reflects responsible stewardship of their profits. As patients and consumers, don't you wonder if our healthcare dollars could be better utilized. Thought-provoking design shouldn't overshadow accountability and fiscal prudence, especially in an industry as vital as healthcare.
I use to work for a company that specialized in carnival arcade and inflatable bounce houses. And ever year this awesome company called us for a event and when I say they ordered almost everything I mean ever game ,inflatable ,yard games, we'd come out with 3 or 4 trucks packed also in tow we'd have a rock wall a mobile zip line and stunt jump. This place is sooo cool
I went through chemo when I was 18 too it was terrible. I’m sorry you had to go through that!
What languages do you use at Epic as a software developer?
You are one strong and brave young man!
Godspeed to you son!🎉
I am currently double majoring Bsc.Mechanical Engineering and Bsc. Computer science. It takes a lot of time management and discipline.
can it say take ur marks, go
It’s too over the top!
Oh my god, seeing a $4 subsidized sandwich is almost enough to apply right now based on my own cafeteria lol
It will make a great haunted location many years from now. The buildings look heavily dated already. I think they went overboard with the theme
Dang, I adore this place, period, majestic place! thanks for sharing
Hey Dennis, do you still monitor this channel? I found your video looking specifically for Epic software engineer content because I really want to work there. I looked you up on LinkedIn and it looks like you might not work there anymore, but is there any remote chance I could pick your brain with a few questions about the tech stack and practices there to make myself a stronger candidate? Thanks, I hope your life and your career are gong great.
The binary made me chuckle. Thank you for your tour. Do you have any advice for someone who wants to get into this?
When you think of excessive corporate profits this is what comes to mind.
I could probably triple/quadruple major but like I'm just gonna do graduate courses.
But of your cancer was shrinking then why they cut your leg joint?
Not to mention under ground parking for everyone that works there
Wow I had no idea this is what Epic was like. Although, all those beautiful spaces and then the actual office people work in is a sad, windowless box with no decor or character at all. As big as Epic is, this seems like an enormous creation in a style and concept that is not particularly sustainable. It's all brand new, so a Harry Potter campus may seem interesting to Millennial workers, but what will it be like in 20 years? How will all those buildings be maintained?
Hi, a bit late to the party here. Did you / do you like living in Madison Wisconsin?
Video is waayyy too fast.
I've had horrible pain in my shin, with lump, my hip and upper left arm. I also have hypercalcemia not from parathyroid with calcium level at 10.6 for a few months and dropped back to 10.1-10.2. Lost 23 pounds in 2 months and it seems doctors are that concerned. Based on my description, should I be concerned? Thank you
Fantasyland is fun and fine for Disney in the entertainment business. But for HEALTHCARE? Give me a break! WE pay for all this every time we use Epic--adding more and more to our costs. Just NO to this on MY healthcare dollar!
Do you think they worked out those glitches with kicking, off stroke, etc, with new updates?
Is it possible to set the pool size to less than 15m?
I’m super happy to see that our healthcare dollars are well spent! Meanwhile physicians’ suicide rate climbs and wages stagnate!
Now I see why it costs hospitals multiple multiple millions to put in EPIC. With the bulk paid by the tax payer. Sorry, this was aggravating to watch.
Talk about excess! Yet the darn software is prone to so many bugs and glitches.
Finally am Cancer free, my doctor confirmed that. I wonder what mught have become of me if I never came across your channel #DrIgho im so delighted for having you as my Doctor because your herbs worked like magic.
Is epic training/ certification done online now or we need to visit center for that?
Can anyone tell me how to become a software developer for epic, I have a degree in Cybersecurity, I work in healthcare but I want to switch up career for software engineer. any Idea.
Dude me and my dad would make you go broke🤣
I have a question about the new EMR for Cleveland clinic,to help a care coordinator and additional training to navigate through the system more efficiently. Please if you can provide me any support videos of the location of where they can be retrieved, greatly appreciate it.
I’m interested in Medical Biology, Biomedical Engineering, and Mathematics, with a minor in Health Services Administration. Generally speaking, I don’t like to say triple majoring is hard, but I feel as though I’m probably looking for too much?
You not! I just switched to Chemistry, computer science and physics with a math and French minor. I know it’s gonna be hard but it’s a challenge I’m looking forward to. I felt the same as you till I talked to my advisor yesterday and she told me “if you think you can do it, do it. Stop worrying about looking for too much”
Bruh its like HIND!!
Well, as an EPIC user, end user, i can say, today EPUC is an EPIC MIERDA. Now I will tell ot to you in latin MIERDORUM EPICORUM. The people that put it together have ADHD, flight of ideas, cant follow a straight line. Dont fix what os not working but make a new path that add 5 more click to the already infinite clicking. MIERDORUM EPICORUM
EPIC is down, EPIC is down.
Question: If you have your work computer on hand and it seems hours are at your own discretion what would stop someone from doing some work at home? Is that not allowed?
