Kill Hannah "Hit The Planes Down"
Просмотров 30 тыс.17 лет назад
The video for "Hit The Planes Down" by Kill Hannah from their earlier days. This song originally appeared on the album "Beauty In Sinking Ships." I believe this video was put together in 1999...if I'm wrong, then please correct me.
my favorite song
Found this band by accident when I was a Smashing Pumpkins fanboy in the late 90s and read some internet article about other bands that played at The Metro. I still dig this song out once a year. It’s a banger.
this might be my favorite KH song. either this, lovesick, or no one dreams anyway
does anyone know where I can get all their really good old shit like this? can't find it anywhere, also heard a version of Kennedy I can't find anywhere except youtube, this stuff is too good.
Most of their really old material got put on their compilation album "Curse of Kill Hannah," which you can still find. Their first albums were independently released, so you'd have to check eBay. I remember paying $40 for American Jet Set on eBay in 2003 or so, and a few months later the band found a box of CDs and started selling them for $15 on their Web site. That's my luck, but maybe you'll have better!
I agree, their first couple of releases were very special, almost like the next pumpkins... and I'm all for bands progressing + evolving, but I honestly don't like how they've pivoted.
I'm a Brit so my comparing might be a bit weird compared to what an American would see them as, but to me this sounds a lot like a British shoegaze band called Slowdive, well minus having a woman singing too, but the chord progressions seem very Slowdive.
Their two first records were very special in my opinion now they are just shitty mainstrream come with something unique instead!
I was 6 in 1996
i was six when this video was posted O~O
Is it just me, or is there a LONNNNGGGG chunk of dead air before the song starts??
Hes got a new solo album release this year
jesus, was Wrongchilde seriously 5 years ago??? I'm getting old, man

Why does this song always break my heart. My romantic Kill Hannah
First Song I ever heard from them.
I love this song so much, its so beautiful :') <3
they signed to a major label, that's what
the greatest band to ever be shown by a psycho ex girlfriend lol
@size00babydoll i know right!! = D mouth waters
hannah montana FOREVER
Chicago!
this is one of my favorite songs ever.... it melts my soul. kill hannah is sadly not what they used to be, but a few songs on their newer album have begun to reclaim that old "kill hannah-esque" sound i know and love so much.
@xXdarkdaedricXx it is Hannah, it says so on the DVD. I am a bit rusty on my KH history, since I haven't been a huge fan for a couple years now, but I'm fairly certain Kerry wasn't in the band when this was shot.
@EmilyLOVESstanley It is quite the same. The only diffrence now, is that everything is produced better, with higher quality. Instead of being bed room recordings.
@chemicalscream are you sure it wasnt just the old guitarist?
@CuteIsContagious ooh
@r17ey what was the first kill hannah song? I thought it was this one.
love this song.
@size00babydoll omg yeah ikr. i made a comment about them sounding a little bit like the cure the other day and people flipped out but i think they do too
also love this song. beauty in sinking ships is great
this is up there in my top favorite kill hannah songs, without a doubt. i just love the feeling it gives me everytime,. like hummingbirds the size of bullets caught inside of my stomach. :)
The whole album "The Curse of Kill Hannah" makes me feel that I'm in a dream.. no other band has ever made me feel like that O.o I love Kill Hannah :3
Curse of Kill Hannah is such a top tier album. My favorite of theirs.
I just <3 this song sooo much
the singer went to filmschool...wonder if this was a project?
love the vid. love the song. so glad they played it live when i saw them :)
is the guy in the video Mat? cause it looks exactly like him =D
its not my personal favvorite but i have to say tht it very hard to choose one! i looove them and the song..i wish the had more official videos
its not just you, alot of fans feel they are a bit like the cure, which is one of there biggest music influences. i personally love both bands.
When did Jonathan leave the band?!
and my skin she said it shakes.
beginning of the song sounds like they ripped off the band slowdive and the song catch the breeze.
"and we're running out of air... prepared to throw ourselves off somewhere"
someone send me this song, please!
sends shivers down my spine. i love this song. i cannot name one band who has a remotely simailar style to kh's old stuff
amazing. i didnt quite see her face though. i didn't know that that was the hannah. pretty interesting. anyway i really likes the video and the film techniques. good song too.
so incredable nice!!!!! best i have heard for a long time!!! SUPER !!!!
well said, i totally agree.
this is so fucking beautiful. <3 so artistic.
me too :( i don't think kill hannah is the same. their old stuff was amazing.
This song is so great. I love how it's so subtle but it's also energetic. It makes me feel like I'm in a dream.
I love 'old' Kill Hannah. The difference between "The Curse of Kill Hannah" and "Until There's Nothing Left of Us" is astounding, but I like both styles. This song, however, is my favorite and will always be my favorite by them. I remember seeing them perform it live 2 years ago when they came through my city. Breath taking, definitely something I will never forget. Good music doesn't come out often. <33333
could anyone send me this song please?????????
Mat Devine is a genius. This video is pure art that is slowly fading away and i hope to make songs like these but nothing will ever be this beautiful and mean this much. I wish music like this was still being put out...
