Habakkuk 2:3 however, is speaking about a future time. A prophecy about the end. God is saying theses things may be slow to take place, but be patient, they will surely come to pass. We can’t take any passage that sounds relative to our own personal situation and use it out of context. So many pastors do this. The entire Bible is about Jesus Christ. Directly or types and shadows so to speak. It’s not about us and our personal life. We are not David. We aren’t fighting “our Goliath” etc etc. I say this because i didn’t even realize this was wrong to do until I was grown and had been saved for several years! There are psalms and proverbs that often do apply to our lives. They’re good, and Godly advice, they’re wisdom and insights. But we can’t just inject our own lives into scripture and think God was speaking to us. God will bring the man He intended for you at the perfect time. His timing. Not one minute early or late so take heart! If that’s His will. BUT if He intends for you to only serve Him? That’s great too! What a privilege. I’m a widow, was at 35. I’m alone now, and I’m perfectly ok with that.
