@Linda-r9y9w her MSM routine wasn't bad at all. It's just all the other major faults that were committed ....
Could you please explain why it is a serious fault “junction turning right” at 5:48
@natalielindi sure i can. Our lane was a right only lane. The lane opposite was for vehicles turning right and driving ahead. So my pupil basically blocked 🚫 their line of travel. Had there been any cars wanting to drive straight, they would have had to drive around us. Now, had the opposite lane also been right only, then we can block it. Hope this makes sense .... 🛻
@@CrashCourses2day thankyou🙏🏽
Thankyou! What time of day was this?
This mock test was conducted between 9.45 - 11am approximately.
@@CrashCourses2day okay thanks! I have booked my test for kingstanding in December but I live in London. I will be able to practice on the roads a few hours before my test, and I have been watching lots of your videos (and others). Do you think it’s still possible to pass ?
@natalielindi As long as you perform a safe drive, then course you can pass. Everything is about road safety and awareness, as well as demonstrating a competent drive. Familarity of the local area helps loads.

No majors, just a couple of minors on steering
@asparkdeity8717 There are a few major faults committed. 🙈
@@CrashCourses2daysuch as?
@asparkdeity8717 All will be revealed in a few days. I want to see how alert ⚠️ my fellow students are. They're actually very obvious major faults. Remember the main distinction between a major or minor driver fault. A major is one that is capable of causing damage to persons or property. As opposed to a minor, which isn't obviously as dangerous...
@@CrashCourses2day that’s not just what a major fault is, it’s about what poses the biggest RISK to other road users and/or including yourself And by your definition, no damage of property was done in this clip. Neither was anybody in danger?
@asparkdeity8717 this is a copy of the DVSA interpretation of faults on their official website. Driving test faults and your result There are 3 types of faults you can make: "a dangerous fault - this involves actual danger to you, the examiner, the public or property a serious fault - something potentially dangerous a driving fault - this is not potentially dangerous, but if you keep making the same fault, it could become a serious fault"....
Apart from going over the other side of the road at 0:05 then clipping the junction at 0:18 I don't see anything else
That was all our side of the road @ 0.05 secs onwards. No fault committed there at all.
@@CrashCourses2day Then I see absolutely nothing wrong, was the fault that the driver didn't get out the car and check for potential meteor strikes?
@projectflightyoutube You're very funny 😂 But no aliens landing or meteor showers in this clip. 2 major faults both committed at approximately 18 seconds into clip. 1st was Right Turn - turned too wide causing the car to drive onto the opposite road marking. 2nd - Observation car approaching from the right wss too close for comfort. Potentially contravening the flow of traffic.

So at the round about not far from tesco do we indicate right to take the 2nd exit? Thank you
@LauraMarriott evening madam, can u plz msg what time this occurs, and i can then clarify. P.s. If you're driving straight ahead at the roundabout, then only a left signal is necessary when about to turn off. A right signal @ a roundabout is only ever applied if generally driving around the roundabout to take a right exit. This is usually signified by any exits past the 12 o clock position. Does this answer your Q?
20.06
@LauraMarriott Yes this is considered a right 2nd exit and a right signal is required, however no left exit signal is needed thereafter so as to not confuse anybody thinking your turning into the side road located after the roundabout. P.s that side road is not part of the roundabout its independent.
Thank you so much for getting back to me

When you’re crossing and taking the second exit on a mini roundabout do you need to signal left to come off?
@jas_313 When driving straight at a mini roundabout. That's a roundabout painted on the floor accompanied by a blue sign, then no exit signal is needed. It's too small and could potentially lead to an accident. Can you plz msg me the time of this mini roundabout clip, so i can definitely make sure you're not confusing a normal small roundabout with a mini roundabout? Thnks 😊
@@CrashCourses2day that’s what I’ve always thought! My instructor says that I should signal when going straight ahead at a mini roundabout, I normally wouldn’t but according to my instructor I should so it’s confused me. I don’t think I’m confused with normal roundabouts but I’ll find the section in the vid. Thank you for your time as well😊
From 16:18
@jas_313 Jas those are mini roundabouts, so no exit signal is needed. Signal left for turning left and only signal right for turning right. As said previously, no exit signal is needed for driving straight ahead. If you attempt MSM going straight at a mini roundabout, you have the potential to hit the nearside kerb and / or even mount it, causing an accident with pedestrians on the pavement. Mini roundabouts usually have limited space to manouver. Hope this answers your Qs. ✅️😊
@@CrashCourses2day it does, thank you!!
What should the driver have done for other road users? At 10:38?
@affanshaikh3274 My learner should have moved over to the right more. Giving that pedestrian extra space as the road was wide enough. It definitely wouldn't have been safe to brake to a stop because of vehicles behind us.
Appreciate 😊 thank you so much Please upload more videos on Kingstanding test routes. Waiting for your next video

Hi, During 5:25 when turning right on the traffic lights, would it be better to wait behind the line if there is already a vehicle in front or is it okay for two vehicles to be in that space?
@marjanabegum6368 two cars are allowed to enter the middle of the cross roads. Only wait behind the white stop line if you're the 3rd car. As two cars have plenty of time to cross through once the traffic lights change to red. Good question 👍
Thank you for these videos
@annak9646 your welcome and good luck on your learning to drive journey 👍🚘🚦
I noticed a lot of times when the indicator was on very early or went off early (like at 23:06)
@ryanunderwood1798 bssically because Tom was driving slower up the hill due to the parked cars. His timimg of signal wasn't as early as you're thinking. Generally, we signal approximately 70 - 100 yards to junction when travelling at 30mph any faster the signal would have to be earlier...

Very informative. Thankyou so much .Can you please make more mocks test videos on kingstanding test centre routes . Specially the difficult turns or tough routes where mostly learners fails.

Quick question, wanted to ask because my test center is kingstanding as well. If there are cars parked on the left side of the road and your in the left lane, and your trying to move into the right but nobody is giving you any sort of way, is it okay if you just stop a safe distance behind the parked cars and wait until some gives you way and move into the right? Just wondering this because I don’t wanna end up making the mistake.
If you're talking about cars parked on the left lane of a dual carriageway. Then yes, you'll just have to stop ✋️ and wait for a safe opportunity to move into the right lane. ✅️ The ideal situation would be to forward plan ahead and look as far into the road to spot the hazards and anticipate and change lanes early....
@@CrashCourses2day thanks for getting back to me, another question I have is that when doing the test are you allowed to just say what your doing to the examiner. For example if I’m in the right lane and I just say out loud that “I’m in the right lane because I’m aware there are parked cars here and didn’t wanna be a nuisance on the road so I’m in there right lane to avoid it”. This would be better than rather him wondering why I’m in the right lane anyway or this could apply for various moments in my test. Am I allowed to do so?
@sahil7214 you can talk yourself through what you're doing. It's called a "commentary drive." However, it isn't necessary to explain your actions, as you've mentioned. The examiner has many yrs of driving experience and will naturally already understand why you are driving in a particular lane or driving a certain way. Dont undermine the examiners' experience. For example if you speak out aloud the reason you're checking the right blindspot before moving off from a parked position. They already understand you reason to do so....

@@CrashCourses2day thank you, yes .

I'm approaching you for a mock test
How is it a fault at 11:00
There's markings on the road, which my pupil strayed out of a little. It's a diagonal route that is marked with small white squares. Had he gone out even more, he could have hit the oncoming Vehicle also turning right opposite him.
Moved to the right too early , if there was oncoming cars that would be a dangerous fault . Resulting the examiner to take control of the steering wheel .
When I first saw this in the beginning I didn't like how the instructor was acting I though he was quite rude.. However I realised he was acting like how an examiner wil act and then in the end he's real personality showed.. Sometimes examiners can really put you off because of their cold demeanour
Examiners have to stick to fairly strict protocol in terms of what they say during a driving test. Remember, they are getting paid to conduct a driving test and lookout for road safety. Generally, some examiners will do a little ice 🧊 breaker with pupils during their test. Once they see the pupil is driving fairly well, they may ask them what they do for a living. But sometimes, even that can hinder the nervous students' progress and add to them not being able to concentrate on the test. My mock tests I tend to role play a little more serious demeanour. The examiners are generally not rude it's just maybe the publics opinion of them. Give or take, you may get the odd Grumpy Ray of sunshine .... 🌞
I have a question about dual carriageways - do you have to turn into the left lane when turning left or can you turn into the right lane. the same for turning right as well - can you turn into the left lane.
Merging onto a dual carriageway, I would recommend you merge into the left lane. Unless that's closed or has hazards. For example, parked vehicles. Remember the right lane is the faster of the two lanes. It all depends on the road and potential hazards. (This is the 1st part of this clip) For an approach to turn right also known as major into minor road. That right must be done in the right lane. (This is the 2nd half of the clip) ✅️ I hope this clarifies your dilemma.
you explained that very well. Ive come across this before but didnt see that keep left bollard so i wasnt sure how dermine which central reservation we are supposed to be in.
I've actually marked a keep left arrow using my black marker pen. As my pupils kept getting confused. As it's a plain reflective sign. You must turn using the left of the two reservations. As the right of the two are for vehicles merging into the dual carriageway. Also, you want to be positioned directly opposite your entry road.
Thank you please more video with different routes
Most definitely I will be posting more on the coming wks.
