A film for young children to help them understand chemical use and abuse in their family. It was produced many years ago and shot in 16mm, but I still love the animation. Let me know if you think it still holds up after all these years.

So you have a 4 pass and a 5 pass each with their own benefit's. Doing a 4 pass is quicker and puts more of a point in the road and will build a crown very quickly. the con to a 4 pass is it will make the public drive down the center of the road. we will do a 4 pass on a narrow forest road. The 5 pass is a better for a wide road, It can handle 2 way traffic. But must keep a 4% Crown for rainfall. Always keep your eyes on both sides of the blade. If a operator only watches the right side of his blade he is probably a beginner.

Amazing! That is the clearest lesson I ever get, but it will be a bit convenient to present the gradation in a table. Thanks a lot.

Thank you for showing this video. Good information on grading (Gravel road) one question for anyone out there. What does the ( BLUE) flasher "Strobe" used for on the rear of the cab. I'm just asking because PD is the ONLY one allowed to use BLUE in the State I live in. When I was a volunteer FF in the 1970s, we could use a BLUE steady facing forward light, then the State changed LAWS. We volunteer switched to a GREEN Light. Now in the 2000s. The command post at major call out the BC has a GEEN light on his vehicle. I help with a Rehab unit with Cadet FF working with Medical service Officer, monitor of FF vitals on change out of crews (FF taking a break) the BLUE light tells everyone where CP is located. Just wondering what the BLUE light means on motor graders, that's all. Please if anyone has answers to why let me know in comments, thank you.??????
Blue is for winter (snow) clearing operations. I see guys use it during the summer all the time and it makes me cringe

Half the roads in America have a gravel surface. This is what made Africa vulnerable to landmines planted by terrorists.

1:22 “if you don’t take those damn flags off my blade I’m gonna drive this thing through city hall” 😜
Good video, I made the mistake of putting down 1 1/2” crushed rock for a mile or so on the ranch that I live on it’s about 3 to 4 “ thick, it’s noisy it never tighten up and it’s chewing up all my tires bad, when I run my dually service truck on it it looks pretty good and flat but then after driving the Kawasaki mules on it it gets loose again, there’s a lot of roads here with 3/4” class 2 base rock at 6” plus and there pretty good but real dusty the fines in the rock just turn to dust but this road does good in the winter because it’s crowned but on flat ground, 3/4 is to small for a road on a slope the rain will wash it away, it would be great to pave over but to expensive.
Joe Corrie crushed rock should tighten up pretty good as long as it’s not round, 3/4” road base should be your safest bet, you could always oil it down for dust
Cap it with 2 inches of #53
Jeremy Huston is that like a 1/4” crush ? You know the 1 1/2” won’t get tight because it’s crushed but has rounded edges not sharp like other roads I’ve seen that are packed nice, O well love and learn.
Colt Noah yes Colt it is crushed but with rounded edges, I never even payed that close attention to it but I know now it’s not as good?
@@joecorrie1 ya you want jagged stone for your road bond. "crush and run"
Gravel roads should be polymerized.

I enjoy going to places like this in the middle of no where although not to fish but to walk by myself a couple miles out with about 50 pounds of odds and ends, find a very remote and creepy spot with no one around for at least 2-miles and set up for a night. I set up my HF antenna and scan for DX. Set up the telescope and camera, fire up the 4 watt green laser set to 1 minute random angle short burst and hookup the laptop. After that set back, get my mind right and get out the mini Stratocaster, a 5 watt amp and rock the woods for a couple hours until I'm basically crash. Li-po power packs are great, with 18 pounds of batteries off an inverter I can run 120-volts at 7 amps for hours.
This is excellent. Thank you for posting. And it does still hold up.
