It's weird to find someone who's opinion of ME3 is so similar to my own. It's unfortunate that 3 was *allegedly* a victim of Corporate meddling, same as what doomed Andromeda... Especially since what ME3 does right, it does well. I fully understand why so many ME fans were incensed by the final chapter of the trilogy, but even now, after several playthroughs, it is still hard for me to get through 3, because I get emotionally invested. I think one of the best things they achieved, was driving home how ragged and weary Shepard was. Even in your final moments in control, you're forced to experience that weariness in the most literal way, as no amount of slamming your joystick or W-key, urges you forward any faster. The end is nigh, and you're gonna be forced to soak it in. I do wish Romantic Interests with non-crew, were given more ways to interact. My first time romancing Jack, I was hooked. She's arguably one of the most interesting love interests, in my opinion... So, when I could barely see her in 3, I was almost fuming lol. Even our goodbye, was bittersweet and fleeting. I am very much hoping the last few years of flops and slops created by the entertainment industry, will inform the Bioware and ME dev teams, to leave the BS at the door. Beleaguered fans have been waiting for the series to return, properly, for nearly 2 decades now.

The Mass Effect Trilogy is my favourite game series by far and there are so many things I can say about these games that I just love, like how I got into the series at all, I was just watching a Playthrough of ME2 and never heard of the series before but even just watching someone else play it was so amazing that I immediately got ME1 and ME2 I finished on weekend each and had over 50 hours played on both and when the 3rd game came out I bought the Trilogy, and after the Legendary Edition was announced I immediately pre orderd it meanin by that poin I bought the entire series 3 times, just because I love it so much. About Mass Effect 3s ending, yes it's not up to par but personally I don't think it is that bad, up until that point the game is a 10/10 for me. It's one of those rare games where, throughout the whole game, it actually feels like you are preparing for a FINAL battle instead of, well I'm just gonna do all sidequests and then oneshot the final boss. ME1 has fantastic Lore and World building. ME2 has a great mix of gameplay and Lore ME3 has the best gameplay out of all and what it lacks in Lore it more than makes up with emotional scenes and dialogue, especially the "Goodbye" talks with every crew member at the very end. I have so much more to say about the series, that at this point I could make my own video lol. Anyway best game series by far 10/10 give it a try, I beg of you!

Never shared this before but Mass Effect saved me. It gave me something special to focus on after a bereavement when I didn't want to be here anymore. It gave me an exemplar for strength. I am a better person for it. I'm still here.

Well said. I love ME3 mostly because of the high stakes. Things are coming to a head. There's multiple points that produce tears. I appreciate writing that can get that reaction, even if it hurts 😅. I believe I played the original ending and wasn't mad for some reason. The extended cut definitely helps, and the "perfect destory" ending? Sheeeeeeit.

I love Mass Effect 3 for the gameplay and the concept. 2 was about the ending really. 1 was for for the story and lore world building.

When i first beat Mass Effect 3 i was let down the tone was really depressing through most of the game and it just felt hopeless, the color palette was very grey which for me made it more depressing and just made it look worse than both previous games, there other aspects that disliked (Kai Leng mostly) but these two had the most impact on me. I replayed the trilogy on insanity when i got my hands on the LE, after beating 3 again on i loved it and the main reasons were the DLCs and the combat, since then i've been pondering which one is my favorite. ME2 is more consistent but the high points of 3 are some of the best moments in any game for me, i also care a lot about gameplay now and 3 is the best 3rd person shooter ever when it comes to that.
