Im a local handy man type. I charge about 65 quid for cash for an outside tap..i do quite a few of them. Happy to take work of some of these plumbers that think they're rocket engineers .

Viva ball valve does not come in two parts like fluidmaster and Thomas Dudley. So if it needs replacing you have to take the whole cistern off to replace it 🤦😞😖 👎👎👎👎👎

Why be cheapskate and fit a 2 quid iso valve , if you have an emergency and cant put you hand to a screwdriver then you have issues. If you fit a lever valve 2 seconds water is off. We all complain about shutting off an iso because we know how they leak the older they get. Older people find it easier with a lever valve as opposed to a cheap iso . You rant about the price you charge for the job but chuck in a cheap iso valve. Oh the irony!!!

Needs to be minimum double check valve for outside taps buddy. Nice install, 😊 you see some right abortions lashed in from the cheapest quote brigade. I had one recently I went to fix a toilet fill valve and had to turn main off. They had an outside tap mounted on the inside of the kitchen cupboard by the stop tap 😅

New radiators are designed with fins on them, this helps push heat forward. I have seen the foil on Amazon not tried it on any modern radiators have you?

I haven't had a single monument tool last or be fit for purpose.

Adding reflective foil to the wall side of the radiator could help heat the room.

Should be fitted to a break tank as it's fluid cat 5 risk. Pipework is nicely done but violates water regs unfortunately.

Was it the pipe or the elbow that split? Could've multitooled the elbow off and popped a new one on. Silicone will prob hold it. Don't mention weight, my work gear is about the only stuff I can still get into😂😂

Excellent video. Nice neat work re pipes in cupboard, floor protected etc. I agree with your comments being a 'proper plumber' and have knowledge of other trades but pushfit and pressfit are useful in certain instances but you've got to have learned the basics to a high standard

I've been told that British Gas 'At Risk' Vaillants with insulation perished like that. Is that true?.. I dunno.. Not sure if the insulation is any better on the new ones.

Your spot on about Vaillant , the 3 parts you mention have been a problem for the last i5 years ! -- And that's for a boiler that's up there with the most expensive -- iv'e seen the comment about vokera pcb's , but iv,e fit a few over these last 4 years with no problems at all , they are half the price of vaillant , they have a better guarantee + a better tech help; line ! --who's the fool eh !!!

Don't ever do that again. The money is not worth the risk. I ask the owner to get a quote from a roofer to put the flue in. I will connect it from the inside.

With the logistics of that job and the roof install I would have doubled my price or walked away… 👍

Great video! I’ve got a Fernox power flush machine and have hoses that connect onto a magnacleanse. Works so well on old sludgy systems!
