This guy simply doesn't age. A lifetime dedicated to his craft and it shows. And he is a gentleman too..met him at a Carl Palmer ELP Legacy concert in Buffalo, N.Y. in 2019. Went out of his way to meet and greet fans and have conversations and photo ops with the fans.
The most amazing Drummer of all time 😁 My first concert was welcome back my friends in'74 saw multiple times with ELP and ASIA saw him in 2015 and met him in person and again in 2019 The nicest most humble Artist ever took time to talk with me and so many others I have the utmost respect for him as an Artist and a person!🥁🎵🎶🎼💯
Don Brewer lets see you do ? And did those feet in ancient time Walk upon England's mountain green? And was the holy Lamb of God On England's pleasant pastures seen? And did the countenance divine Shine forth upon our clouded hills? And was Jerusalem builded here Among those dark satanic mills?
Groofoot, you cannot put him in the same category as Buddy Rich, and as for Keith Moon, probably one of the worst rock drummers in history….Sorry Mr Palmer that solo had no content it was just a thrash.
I don't care who you are...a 11 minute drum solo is to much. However, watching Carl do this at his age without falling over is...well...extra special I guess. ;-)
Saw him dec 73.aug 74..77 4x..92 thru 2000..his stainless steel era kit 73 till march 78.was a classic best solo around back then..saw bonzo 73 75 kit .that was monster also
Thank You!! As a drummer myself AND yes Neil Pert was great but out of them all he is my least favorite... Billy Cobham and a host of others paved the way for us all... Way to go Carl!!
You people erased my opinion. I am entitled to that so let me repeat. 1 if you think this is good you've got problems. This amatuerish out of time beginner solo is one of the lousiest i've ever seen. I am 68 and could take this guy any day. Lousy
He is ALWAYS at his peak when he plays. I don't know what kind of genetics he has but whatever they are, infused with the musicality of a Krupa and chops of a Rich, the technical and innovative intricacies of of an (Elvin) Jones and the all out ability to brawl like a Bonham, Carl Palmer is one of the best drummers to have every lived. In my head (read that: my own personal opinion) he was Peart's only (friendly) rival in the world of drumming. A beast of a drummer!
Is this one pure speed metal really ?
ELP were each fantastic composers and musicians. Carl brought so much to their music. He blows my mind. I'd take him over Buddy Rich.
Just fuckin disappear. It sounds foul.
Masterdrummer..
Legend !

Someone sold his soul , Carl !

I'm looking for it, but unfortunately there isn't a normal quality recording of such a big icon during a drum solo
What a drumer his spirit is super just like rocket in the sky
What a world treasure. Absolutely the best!
You can’t tell me that he’s not the greatest rock drummer of all time!
Hats off to you Mr.Palmer 🙏👏👏👏 You are truly amazing on the kit. 👍🙏
He will maintain his greatest.

Dont forget Cozy Powel equally as good has Carl
cлабенько без кардана вообще печальненько..
King Carl.
Buddy Rich was a huge influence on Carl.
The greatest prog drummer ever...He even had the respect of Buddy...Started me drumming in 1973, Tank changed my life...
These drummers dont have like Africans that hypnotic feeling. Its only like a marching band. Bah !
Thank You!! As a drummer myself AND yes Neil Pert was great but out of them all he is my least favorite... Billy Cobham and a host of others paved the way for us all... Way to go Carl!!
But can you play with your ball sack...
Carl was the best when the rest weren't even born. 😊
Keep on rocking in the free world 😮😊❤
Congrats for his age, but can't see anything specially distinctive on his performance
One of the greatest of all time, without a doubt.
thank you for sharing this!
Saw ELP in the 70s with the band 10 Years After. ELP was amazing !!!
The only drummer to steal Buddy Rich from his throne!
I grelha suprise the energy, Great, thanks.
I fero suprise 73 thanks Carl, all the best for you. Im 67.

Well, that's a boring ass drum solo.
Hey you forgot John Coughlan from Status Quo.
They say, if you haven't got something nice to say, don't say anything. I'll keep quiet then.
73 and still a OG fghhKING MONSTER!!!
He's in the top 5 and stillgoing.Actually he's probably as good as ever because he plays all the time
Lets not forget Phill Ehart!!! and I believe you may have meant Joe Morello!
Yes, let's remember Phil Ehart. Just turned 73 and recovering from massive heart attack. (2/24/24)
Nice kit.
He's so fast RUclips can't keep up with him!😂

His father AND Grandfather were professional drummers. It is in his blood.
Why is it about speed? 😢
