CPKC 101 was waiting at Greely when i arrived, just in time to see her moving 9n into Revelstoke. CP 8573 as mid remote
2 Engines with the same number on this CPKC 148 really working hard on the grade out of Revelstoke.

she was really working her way up the hill with a beautiful nice line up of power: CP 8065 and CSX 4736 in the lead, KCSM 4736 and 4859 Safety First(!) as mid remotes! And what are the odds of having 2 engines with the same number on 1 train!

' wow that is a so long lane of train trailers... all trains and trailers are already good ballbearings in the wheels
It’s common to do a crew change at the crossing but I don’t know why as they also do it at the station quite often.. good catch!

Mmmmmm the longest train i ever been into was 75 trucks/wagons or cars,but longest one i ever drove was 65 in South Africa, would love to have a feeling of driving this kind of train.
I thought the only other Crossing with bells in Revelstoke was just South of the museum? I know there’s a crossing on Big Eddy Road. Is that where this was?

How do you get to this area?
Follow hwy #1 east out of Revelstoke, after a few kms you can turn right on to a gravel road down to the tracks. Rough Road!

No Edward, the DPU's are empty, no crews. They are radio controlled from the lead engine
