Lories at the birdbath bob heads up and down, (Their beautiful colours are so far from brown); The greens and the purples paint a lovely picture, And reds help their feathers reach a perfect mixture. Then Bella, the beautiful girl cockatoo, Already has learned what she needs to do, While Footsy and Bugsy take charge of the spot Where the seeds abound and other birbs not. Underneath all that, Jim sits in his chair, One tray on his lap, another in mid-air: The goodies are tasty and so good to eat --- Just ask that cute possum who answers to Pete. So, another meal has come to an end, The turkeys await the seeds that descend And fall on the ground two feet to the East To wait for the field mice that stop by to feast.
That cocky that threw that bowl out of the bucket as soon as he saw it was so funny. that must be weighty those birds. cockys are not light.
I suspect these are especially heavy. The bowl-flinger is Bob of the Bucket, one of the originals. He's even been seen inside the bucket, though I suspect he's a bit large now -- especially since there seems to be a Mrs Bob. Gotta have standards on this channel 😆😄
A little more bucket action: ruclips.net/video/IKRqtXC7g3I/видео.html 🤣Bob even gives him "the eye" at the very end.🤣
Alfred Hitchcock would be triggered. Not me. I and a friend used to feed hundreds of gulls in similar fashion on Chesapeake Bay. The birds were always extremely polite, never bit or crapped on the hand that fed them, and were pristinely clean.
I know you were in there somewhere, Jim. Part of your cap, hands, a bit of your face, and legs were visible. But the rest was a boisterous, undulating sea of beautiful birbs! It's one of those images you have to see to believe. Then, like a magic act, they were gone! Even the stray lorikeets took off; but not the bush turkeys: their laborious ground pecking continued. Beautiful! 😍❤️
Surrounded and 'drownded'. Yep, the turkeys munch on. And Pete the possum, and rascally rodents turned up after the birbs. 😀😃😄
@@ForTheBirbs -- There's no lack of animal movement around there, Jim, never a dull moment 😁😂😍🤣
What a cool place to be.
@@gth042 -- Oh, you bet, G! 😉
Oh Mel❤ I needed that smile on my dial🥰and😂😂😂😂😂😂
Brave birbs birbulate by the besieged bounty of birdseed, bemused and befuddled before bellowing and bartering beyond the beauteous boisterousness of their beaks. Oh boy!
B, b, b, beautiful! Cheers Mel!
Madam Chook interrupts Fluffixus's maxifluffication and gets peckerofskied 1:56. 😆Fluffy demands a focused audience, I guess. It seems like the birbyhem quickly calmed down around 9:35. Just the ebb and flow, perhaps, or did something happen out of frame? For example, Junior Poo is looking much like Mr. Poo did a few years ago. Maybe JP left and things wound down? It looks like you guys are doing well after the rain 😄👍
It's so hard to keep up with the peckination and flapperating. The normal initial rush of birbs and then an ebb and flow. Turkey mayhem as usual. Jr Poo Brain pecking order.
A flightly lot -- arriving and departing. Birbs whizzing by like an arcade game. Whew! It seems eight were on your upper works for a little while after 2:00. Sydney didn't get flooded this time, yay!
Oh wow. Did I get to eight birbs? If so, a record. Lots of rain, but over the day or so.
@@ForTheBirbs Yup, it looked like you had eight up there for about 20 seconds. No headbirbs either, not that it's cheating 😁
Just look at them all, those beautiful creatures, Flying and flaunting their perfect features: Feathers and crests and claws and loud squeaks And crunching hard seed with their perfect beaks. Forever so patient and always quite fair, Jim talks to them sitting in his chair --- Birbs that have names and the appetite To eat and squawk and then fly out right. So far away from where these birds fly, I watch and learn and understand why The beauties of Nature are the mystery That keeps minds like mine writing poetry.
😀😃😄😁🩷🧡💛💚

Great music choice and appropriate for this video. Your friends are happy to see you. They are wonderful and free. They are the lucky ones. So many languish in sanctuaries. They must stay free. ❤️🙏🌹

Greedy, cheky burbs "We're already sharing with our own species, now you got to bring in a non-avian?" You should hold a naming contest. He's no Bubba... I like Swiper (as in "Swiper, no Swipe"). Posse is good too.

G'day Jim !!! Nice Too.. See.. you out doing David A. !!! Cheer's !!!
Hehehe. 😀😃😄😁😆. Cheers Adrian
As I've been busy with other things, I've missed Jim and the flock; But here I am, all heart and wings, Tired of human shock. This butterfly, such is her life, Goes from here to there: Between the world of human strife And Nature's beauties rare. She's watched great evil and disdain In trials that she observes, Where suffering and cruel pain Are dishes each one serves. Now that she's landed on these things Ever so close to grace, The butterfly extends her wings And wraps herself in lace.
Lovely Mel! 😀😃😄😁😆
@@ForTheBirbs-- Thank you so much, Jim ❤😊
If I was a bird, Not a girl in lace, My screams would be heard All over the place. If a possum hid Where I like to bake, I'd squawk and forbid Every step he'd take. So, I'll hoot and scream Louder than thunder: There's no possum dream Where my wings wander!
😀😃😃😁😁🩷🧡💛💚💙
R so smart❤
Pretty chill turkey time. I wonder if you'd get chased by standing among them instead of sitting. ...That tripod/head interface is a so-called "half-ball" type that loosens by unscrewing the underside handle (with the hook). Customarily, that's what's used to level the base of the head rather than unequal extension of the legs (within a narrow range of slopes, of course). Six of one, half-dozen of another though. But, you might be able to keep the legs fully retracted and have one less step to getting it back in the bag. Lazy guy thinking. ...In fact, does the storage closet have hooks the tripod could hang from instead of using the bag (super-lazy now)?
Thanks for that. I guess I'm so used to the leg adjustment I didn't think of it. I haven't found the hook. Probably a boy look. Lol. I wouldn't call it lazy, I'd call it efficient. Is best if I keep it in the bag for storage... The bag makes it easier to cart it out back
Oops! That hook may not exist. I forgot I swapped half-balls so I could better interchange the head (I use an Edelkrone FlexTilt Pro). Shucks, that's a nice place for a hook. I hang batteries and other widgi-digitz in a small pouch from there. If you're good with knots, a paracord cinch with a loop on the end might be almost as good. Resting a bag on the spreader seems to work for now, though.
The bag slipped off the spreader and no movement to speak of. Lots of wet birbs today as moderate rain
I'd like a car horn that sounds like Rexy. ...Microphone cable get chewed/clawed again?
Rexxy honk. Yeah, some sort of interference which is really rare for the Rode. I'll resynch them. Sigh...

Oooh
Do people raise these? I know you're the man and all, but he almost looked too chill to be wild. 😄 Is it poss-ible he's too young to know? His fur looked soft and unbemished (no fights), and his claws may have still had transparency to them. Whatever the case, I'll bet he has excellent hearing. Those were big funnels and appeared to go deep. I was surprised how shallow his eye sockets were. Thank you for sharing this stuff 😄😄
Cheers G. No, protected species. Only wildlife rehab and so on can keep them, but a lot of people "adopt" them like I've done with the birbs. So yeah, wild and not long on his own
Something new everytime I look... 😊😊😊
