We serve national clients including Rothman Orthopaedics, Jefferson Hospital, Capital Health, and serve as the premiere video team for Etna Interactive, one of the largest and most successful medical and aesthetic marketing firms for Plastic Surgeons in the United States. Although we are known for our medical products, we also serve clients in the tourism, financial, commercial real estate/architecture, and corporate sector looking to produce a high volume of video content to be distributed on a frequent basis across a long period of time. I've been running OBS and ATEM Mini Pro with a capture card since the start of COVID. Recording simultaneously on both. No need to engage two ATEMs. Even more cost effective with just one ATEM Extreme.
So this is only necessary if you want to use the main HDMI out to view the whole preview deck on a separate monitor correct?

I have a question, with this device you can also connect to a zoom call for example and being able to tell zoom that the camera you will choose is one the Blackmagic for example? Is there a way also to record the zoom call for example in a separate file in the mini pro ISO? Thank you in advance.

This would still work if I replaced OBS with Zoom, right? I’m trying to stream over the Ethernet port and (using an Ethernet switch) have the capability to output a Zoom webcam

Noob question: why not to use recording via obs instead external drive?
Doesn't the Streaming Bridge has a USBC port? What is it for? I thought you can connect that to the computer to UBS, without needing another ATEM Mini or a capture device
Record your iso on the atem mini iso and use the HDMI out to plug into a normal atem mini and use that devices usb to webcam. That would work right? Distribution comes after that, I use NDI for routing. So why all the extra? A normal mini is a great device for capturing. Using a mini extreme iso, only have 4 sources connected, but the double usb and HDMI makes it so much better Now waiting for full HDMI 2.1 atem 😊
How about if you just buy the ATEM mini extrême? It has two USB-C ports.
We can't agree with you more! But check the date on the video, the ATEM Mini Extreme didn't exist yet! We had to find a way around the issue until it was released.

2 Questions 1) Is it not possible to get a usb - c Splitter to send both signals to output video and then one to ssd and record like that? 2) Couldn't you just use an hdmi splitter to output to a monitor and to obs and then in obs crop the output to just the program portion? sure quality would be reduced but this would work no?

ah man, thank you I AM SO CLOSE to getting this to work But my "on air" button won't stop blinking, i've already reset, done all the research I know to do, and it won't stop blinking and so I'm not getting signal in obs, all other parts have been tested and work and this seems to be the main issue Any help from community here, would be freaking amazing AF
Are you using the streaming bridge? If so that means your streaming settings are off and it isn't connecting to that device. I'd recommend updating the firmware on streaming bridge so that creation of the xml is easier. Let me know how I can help!

BM really dropped the ball with not adding two USB-C outputs on these. I'd have rather paid an extra amount to have that. Seems an obvious thing to have done. I was going to just add a memory card to each of my cameras as a back up, but in testing, the cameras drop the 'live' output to the ATEM when recording.
Do yourself, and all of us a favour, drop the background "music" it's as annoying as tinnitus. It doesn't add anything to the experience just deducts from it. It did stop me watching the whole thing so as well as me not learning it will also affect your income.

Can’t you just plug the PGM out (hdmi) to the capture card? Or I guess that hdmi output is being used for monitor out. Anyway, NICE!
TOO OBSOLETE - why not use the HDMI OUT on ATEM PRO ISO?
NOT OBSOLETE - The HDMI out on the ATEM MINI Pro ISO is the ONLY output on that switcher. We still wanted to monitor our cameras with Multiview. The ATEM Mini Extreme ISO solves that issue though with it boasting 2 HDMI outputs and Two USB-C ports (one for web cam out and the other for ISO Recording).
I purchased this setup but for some reason the streaming button just blinks and so the computer is not picking up the capturecard USBC as a webcam. Any ideas?
Better take your money and invest to the extreme model. Sadly was not in sight when I bought the pro ISO. Went the line already with 4 hdmi splitters on input plus a 4x1 multiviewer. SoI have HDMI pgm out of the mini available to stream with additional capture interface and to monitor with no delay. The streaming bridge has much too much of delay for serious work.
Can't agree with you more, this was our work around until they dropped the extreme models, before that we were only dreaming of two usb-cs!

Do you lose the ATEM control software using the bridge?
This is great, but why don't you just plug the HDMI out from the ATEM mini pro iso into the capture card directly? Why does it need to go via ethernet to the streaming bridge? Doesn't the HDMI out show the same feed? Or is that for monitoring only? (i.e. does it have UI controls on it?)

Hey! Thank you for this video. I just have one doubt: is it possible to take the HDMI output from ATEM Mini Pro ISO and connect it directly as a HDMI input on ATEM Mini? So ATEM Mini would be used as a capture card to OBS and ATEM Mini Pro ISO would record all video sources.
Yes but... Like you only have 1 USB-C you also only have 1 HDMI Out. You can make that HDMI be Program out, but then you can't see the Multiviewer. If you make it MV, you lose program out.
How do you use the multi cam viewer on the mini pro? Their is only one out
That's exactly what this video is about! You use the hdmi out for that and then a streaming bridge for the rest!
So you can't use a USB hub o the atem?
I could use your help! I connected everything as showed and while my computer is seeing the Blackmagic, it is not seeing the video feed via ethernet. I've tried two different ethernet cables to check that it wasn't a cable issue and connected my camera directly to my atem mini pro to ensure it wasn't an hdmi cable issue also and that worked. So I'm not sure what the problem is? I just received the Atem Mini Pro Iso yesterday, so I guess maybe that could be broken? But I doubt it. Thoughts?
