my own pet peeve of this comic is the character design being aweful, i can't tell a character from another and the badass gods are reduced into blob of colors that aren't even consistent between the panels. The clothing is boring af and dosen't tell anything interesting about the characters. For me character design is the most important part in a comic and they failed miserably at that - someone who loves making character desing

Hey! (Unprofessional)Writer here! What mostly deterred me was the writing. It felt like the creator couldn't decide where she wanted to go. There is a lack of character goals, a lack of consistency, and a lack of a clear ending. Only reason I read it was because I was curious.

"I hate drawing wheat" is such a funny hyperspecific pet peeve. there's a line in this kids' book the day the crayons quit that's the beige crayon complaining that he's only good for drawing wheat and when do kids ever draw wheat

I'll be honest, I stopped reading it after Apollo came to pick up Persephone at the college. Like, I didn't even finish the first book. Hot take, but I hate they just casually put SA in the book and with Apollo of all people as the perp?! I would expect something like that for Zeus, Poseidon, Dionysus or literally Hades. There's a reason Apollo was a favorite amongst the greeks. He was a pretty stand up guy unless you pissed him off. If anything he was screwed over by the other gods. Zeus killed his son, Eros shot him with an arrow to make him fall in love with Daphne and shot a lead arrow at Daphne to make her detest him, the frickin wind killed his lover Hyacinthus because he was jealous. But the inaccuracy is not the only thing I'm mad about. As an sa survivor, he's poorly written! Apollo feels like a character a 13 year old would write just to be edgy. He's a bad villain. And Artemis is so fucking annoying!! Literally, both Hades and Persephone are written as characters who do no wrong and it is infuriating. Not to mention the "Born sexy yesterday" character trope really grosses me out. Over all, hated the characters, hated the way they handled serious subjects, and I hate the tropes.

I like that you based demeter on viola davis. To me demeter was very black coded. I think it's because of her hair. I do love your redesign. She is really pretty.

Even in stories where hades is the bad guy she's helicopter mom, because writers are obessed with adding traits to characters. Like the scooby gang are all ways having new traits added because people are obessed.

most of the songs definitely failed in my books (like stupid with love) but all the song i think carried were someone gets hurt, sexy, and cautionary tale. world burn is very close to being stunning, because renee rapp sung it, but whatever the musical director wanted did nit help. it doesnt really deserve the hate, but its not groundbreaking so… 5/10

Most of my friends love Lore Olympus. And I love that they love it and I love hearing them gush over it. Heck when I first read it way back I loved it. But I also love hearing people on the internet rant about it 😂 idk what it is the anger fuels me 😂❤

I think it's important to remember that a lot of the time, when people are mad at a work for sucking, it's because at one point, we wanted it to be good, or believed it to be good. The anger we feel now comes from a very weird place of love and betrayal. And it's absolutely okay to both like and dislike a piece of media. Ignore anyone that says otherwise.

One thing I will say, I wish people would focus more on how Persephone would feel in this situation. I just see people coming at it from Demeter and hades’ pov

I don't think any single specific moment that makes LO immidiately bad before it was good. I think LO had bunch of problems since the very start BUT instead of getting resolved LO gained even more problems to the point you can't ignore it even as a casual reader.

I remember I came across your channel a while and liked hearing your opinions on LO. I'm going to be honest, while LO has a special place in my heart, i have a lot of problems with Season 2 and 3. Season 1 is definitely my favorite. I am curious if you saw Too Many Crowns Video on the series. I really enjoyed it too! I definitely agree with your thoughts on Persphone with how sweet she was, her eyes, and how her emotions can be expressed with the blooms and vines. The trial arc begins and ends in Season 2!

I like the videogame 'Hades' take on greek mythology, I think it's one of the most accurate family drama about our era. I just like the whole message behind the whole story and how it just explores father/son relationship, romances, brotherhood, mother/son, daughter/father, nephew/uncle/aunt/cousin, friendship, toxic behavior and relationships in general. Just a great narrative for a great game. So hyped for Hades 2, we'll be seeing Hecate as a mentor and she looks so badass from what we could see, and see much more Gods we haven't seen yet.
