The minute she says “New York sense of humour” and Toby cocks his head is a brilliant little note, the moment he decided to change gear and actually get involved.

The only bad thing is seeing after watching the whole series and noticing no mention of Debbie Fitterer, but instead someone named Misty. For continuity’s sake, I wished they would have followed up with the same name so we would see the connection years later.

If they made a remake of the west wing, i imagine Charlie as a possible President, Vice President or Congressional canidate after having learned so much watching Bartlett then working for CJ

The greatest love story ever on TV was between Jed Bartlett and Charlie Young. Was a shame when he moved to work with CJ, I get it was needed for Charlie’s storyline; but I missed seeing the interactions between JB & CY.

Although hesitant at first to take the job,Charlie became a beloved member of the family. On an unrelated note when President Bartlett was giving his address about the attacks he did exactly what a leader should do. He was confident, articulate, reassuring. All qualities that we as Americans should demand in our candidates. Differing opinions does not mean you have to be hateful.

They never got his titles right, but gave him some of the best lines: Leo: “Lord Marbury, under our constitution the President is not empowered to create maharajas.” Marbury: “Yes, thank you for clearing that up, Leo. Having been educated at Cambridge and the Sorbonne, I am, as you know, exceedingly stupid.”

First I’ve noticed the door casings on the Oval Office doors are missing - like the real White House. In the rest of the series the doors have casings.

Well he is the deputy White House Communications director and counsellor to the president. Not the curator of the White House historical site. His job is in the administration, not facility management or the history of the building. There are people who are quite well informed about the house, the rooms, the furniture, gifts etc. They should have been brought in for that.

The right to choose can be about abortion, it could be about giving or withholding consent for touching. I think in this case we are to believe that it was a discussion about abortion. And President Grandpa also seems to think it off that they went from superficial tween stuff a little beyond what you might as a child of that age.

Always took issue with the Roosevelt room scene. Sam is always presented as a genius, there's no way he doesn't know some history of the White House, and absolutely no way what-so-ever he doesn't know who the 18th president was or which Roosevelt the room was named for. And no, don't give me "some geniuses have blind spots," that's not accurate to how Sam has been drawn. First episode though, and they were still catching their stride and flushing out characters and tone.
