Husqvarna 350i Battery Chain Saw converted to 24" Bar, BLi300 Battery
Просмотров 15 тыс.Год назад
Just a test of a new homeowner model. Very impressive. TO BE CLEAR: This conversion is NOT to be considered safe or reasonable. This bar and chain are far too large and heavy for the construction of the saw body. I expect that continued use would lead to damage and could potentially be dangerous to the operator.

This is great info! Thank you 🙏🏽
Ok so. Think about how that engine works! You have an intake. And you have an exaust. 🤦♂️. Ok so hear me out. Block off the exaust and holy shit you have an air pump. Y the check valves??
Thank you! This is super helpful information for our upcoming trip to the guard station.
Glad it was helpful, we really enjoyed ourselves and hope that you did too. Just realized I could respond to comments.
Great video!

Quanto custa uma dessa ?
At this time in my area the saw kit is $479.99, the bar is $99.99 (cheaper ones are available) and the chain is $32.99. So here in Northern California the current total is $612.97 plus sales tax. Thanks for asking!
To be clear, the BLi300 battery just drops in though, correct? Husqvarna does not list the 350i in the compatibility chart for the BLi300
Yes, thanks. Good question. The BLi300 is a direct fit. I simply used it because it was already charged and felt I should mention it for the sake of transparency. Keep in mind that Husqvarna's fitment charts are to be taken with a grain of salt. There is an extremely high rate of interchangeability between Husqvarna battery platforms, and the very few outliers are slowly becoming obsolete.
every BLi fits. but not every Bli provides the (Full) Power it needs.
Thanks for the input, Frank. In actual terms all BLi batteries provide the same amount of power in the sense of voltage, which means all batteries will give the same cutting performance. However the lower amp hour batteries will run down sooner so it's always recommended to go with the most energy dense battery you can afford. This is especially crucial for the commercial saw platforms like the T540iXP and the 540iXP due to the higher draw of their motors.@@Frankstar22
whats incredible? How dangerous this is?
I said "incredible" simply because I was impressed with the performance of the saw with the longer bar. The log is old Canyon Live Oak, very hard, and I didn't think the saw would do as well as it did. As for the danger level all I can really say is that the saw is not designed for this bar or chain and therefore unforeseen consequences could ensue. This was really just me goofing around and I would hate for someone to be injured trying to copy my behavior. Thanks for taking the time to check in and have a great day.
Varmint patrol strikes again
This is an older video I found in my phone. Essentially I took apart a small aquarium pump, realized it was magnetic drive and that it would make power if spun, then hot glued a fan to it. The framework is scrap pvc with a plastic bottle tail and the diode stack was removed from a scrap gasoline generator. It lasted about 1/2 an hour until the wind tore it apart.
Just a lil bit of fun on a Saturday night
