Know you don’t read these posts anymore being so old but wished someone would do a video on how to wire a pressure pad(two wire) into power tail end of a flashlight. I hv small adjustable flashlight perfect for a AR15 flashlight power on/off end cap light, gutted end of cap, punched hole in rubber button on end of light, ran wires thru hole soldered one wire to spring, thought other end would ground out while screwing end cap back on but light stays on I made one of these lights about 10 years ago but Damn forgot how I did it

is it possible to buy just the actual switch without the cable on amazon ?

It was all good until you introduced the water into the video. If you ever have the bad experience of molten popping back on you from getting even one drop of sweat falling into it, you will understand. No short pants or flip flops allowed and a full face shield for sure.

It would be nice if people who make the lead ingots measured and knew the BHN. I buy "soft pure lead " from different sellers but when I measure them, they are different.

I bought a genesis onyx light like 3 years ago, since i took it out of its tight ass packaging, the remote switch is stuck in the on position. I paid like 100 bucks for the light, but nobody can give info on the lifetime warranty. Could this videos problem possibly be my problem also?

I get scrap from a local recycler for a great deal. I like lead sheeting used for x-ray rooms and roofing. I fold it up and cut it with a circular saw like butter. Those wheel weights always took too much time for me, plus I make a lot of slugs that need softer lead. No zinc bombs to worry about either!

Don’t try to remove it. Almost impossible. Just cracked the stock at the seam. Just wasted a hundred bucks.

Came for the casting of ingots.....left 20 seconds in when I checked, and realized that the tortuous music wasn't going to stop.

When you're young, time is cheap. The older you get the more you want to spend casting and shooting. Sorting lead just wastes time.

I’m a lefty and in CA. With this setup there is no way for me to grip the unit while charging so I wouldn’t be able to compete anymore.

Easy way to ID lead from steel or zinc is those markings Fe is the chemical symbol for iron, ZN is the symbol for Zinc

You can sell the zink and metal scrap to the recycler. I bought three 5gallon buckets of wheel weights for $20, got 51lbs of lead wheel weights and sold the 383lbs of scrap for $14. Ended up with 41lbs of ingots for $6.

I have a question about the CA Compliant Plate (That is supposed to be Removable) Is this stock the exact same as the Non California Compliant version (When the Plate is removed)??? I ask because I was getting ready to purchase and the CA Compliant version is like $16 cheaper. IF it is exact same after removal of the Plate then I don't see why paying extra for one Without? Please, any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Great video man. If you add a juggernaut tactical thumb rest takedown pin you recover most of the mobility you lose by installing this particular stock. I've had mine for a few months now and have no complaints. If you go the maglock route and remove the plate on the stock to utilize a pistol grip feature in combination with the Hera arms foregrip It gives the rifle a very p90 like feel. The only downside to these products is that they have a very airsoft like quality to them given how much plastic is used. All in all not a bad product to slap on a casual range day rifle.

I enjoyed your set up. You can handle much more than me. I go a little slower and looking to switch over to wood. I also am learning different types and hardness of lead.

Great video, the only thing that I see you doing that all draw to your attention is you absolutely need to have on a pair of safety glasses. If just the smallest splash of lead gets in you eye @ 700+ degrees your eye will be gone.
