Location of the DPFE 1998 Lincoln Town car 4.6L V8
Просмотров 8954 года назад
How to find the DPFE on a 1998 Lincoln Town Car (Third generation Ford luxury sedan 1998-2011). The 1998 is known as a split year model, which means when in production, they will cross over parts and/or locations with the previous generation (2nd gen.). So, if you know the part will be the same as the 2nd generation, you can actually get the old generation parts cheaper or find them easier at a...

The EASY way to replace the alternator in the 2nd generation Dodge Ram (94-01/02) with a 5.2 or 5.9l. I also talk about the harness placement and where the wires go, especially the ground bc I flaked where the placement was, don't judge! Lol.

    I have a 2001 dodge ram 1500 ive chaged all the sensors it runs fine in the cold but when the truck warms up it sputtering and misfire and no power when driving and i changed the distributor cap and the cam and pull up sensor u think my crankshaft sensor is bad

    • @karnee26
      @karnee26 11 месяцев назад

      Before doing the CSPS, make sure your coil pack is clean (sand paper it), check the pig tail (add dielectric grease), be sure all your wires on the distributor are tight on the points and on the plugs. Then check the pig tail to the CSPS bc it runs behind the distributor, it could be pinched or spliced. I also had my throttle sensor cause the same issues you're speaking of, so check that as well. If all those things pan out, then you may want to replace the CSPS. Fair warning, you will need to order the Mopar one bc the after markets will constantly give you issues. Good luck.

      Best thing to do is have your VIN run because it depends...here is a link to get more of an idea of how to find out which is in your rig. www.dodgetalk.com/threads/98-ram-alternator-amps.32987/ You can always call a Dodge dealership, they run the VIN and can give exact details on it, I had the LA version and the parts were obsolete or were becoming that way. Best of luck.

    Rancheros aren't OE.

    • @karnee26
      @karnee26 2 года назад

      What are you talking about? They are OE...they aren't stock, if that's what your referring to? OE (original equipment) refers to the standard structure or comparison of the stock part. Go to your local auto parts store and ask for OE, see if they bring you out anything that is stock. I make mistakes, as I am human but I know what OE is and I know what stock is when it comes to parts. Worked for an auto parts store for nearly 5 years. Appreciate you watching, sad that's all you got out of it and then to wrongly make a comment. Moving on, thanks!

      If you go from the wheel well, it won't be as difficult as it seems....once you know where it is, it's the pigtail that will be the hardest to get over to the drivers side and be sure to snake it without getting it tangled in with the distributor. That's why it's best to leave the old one there and trace the new one with the old one's path, using zip ties!!! Best of luck!

    A lot of unesGot mine out in about 10-min. With out doing all that. Take off the air breather. Just reach behind the motor with a small flat-head screwdriver. Clean the little Allen head holes out. Reach back behind the motor with a 8-in extension and Allen 1/4-in ,, and ratchet. Unplugged the sensor. It is done. It is a tight fit. But you don't have to undo the dipstick for the tranny. Or any other stuff.

      Yeah I did get it figured out. Thanks for taking the time to respond though. Got to do the plentium plate on my other Dodge. Been trying to find someone to order the one that is aluminum. You wouldn't have a hook up on which ones are the best to use would you. I'm also going to replace all the gaskets on the motor except for the head gaskets. If so I would appreciate it. Thanks again for responding. Have a blessed day.

      It's actually a serpentine belt, removing it won't effect timing, Those magnums have timing chains. To remove the serpentine belt you just use a 14mm socket on the tensioner bolt. (Clockwise to release tension) the tensioner bolt is located on the left (passenger side) of the alternator pulley. If you need visuals 1A auto has a youtube video "How to Replace Serpentine Belt 94-02 Dodge Ram 1500"
