Free Climbing 5.13b on El Cap- El Corazón
In November 2021 I freed El Corazón over the course of 13 days. This video is mostly iPhone footage, captured by Elliott Bernhagen and myself while climbing. We didn't capture everything, but you'll see how the story goes.

Marc spotted this unclimbed line on the east face of Torre Egger in 2016, while rappelling from the route Titanic. The saddest and worst part was that he didn’t even die from falling. Mother Nature finally took its course and even though it was way too early, did what every solo climber dreams of and buried him in the mountains. I’d say RIP but I know for certain he is. One of the bravest of the brave in my eyes.

Very nice video, I saw the alpinist here the other day, it was an amazing film, but a very sad ending, I don't know what to say other than i'm sorry for you loss of Marc Andre, what a legend he was. He was really just living with what he loved. You are also an amazing climber and person Brette :) Wish you all the best.

I'm at Torre Egger right now. I was inspired to see this place after watching the Alpinist. I road a Himalayan motorcycle from El Calafate to El Chalten and I can say this is easily one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen. Seeing these mountains, feeling the wind, I'm evenmore in awe of those that have climbed it. Absolute legends. Thank you for sharing your story with us 🙏

If you're sleeping on the ledge and you roll over too far, you fall off a cliff. Not sure I would be able to sleep at all.

Well done all! Still weird to think that the kid I taught to trad climb at Harrison Bluffs 15 or so years ago went so far. For his family’s sake, I wish he were still around living the dream.
I honestly had no idea what to expect when watching The Alpinist movie, so I was really heartbroken towards the end when it was revealed Marc-Andre wasn't coming back from Alaskan mountains. He lived so fast and died so young... Your pain and sadness was so genuine and horribly beautiful, you loved him so much. You two were real soul-mates. I believe his loss had a deeper meaning for you, for your future life and journey. I hope you are taking good care about yourself, dear.
