the way I see the controller class is a group of brawlers that excels at actively disabling an opponents ability to play freely. this can be seen in the area control brawlers like gale, lou, penny, jessie, and bo (to name a few) who have innate abilities, gadgets, starpowers, or supers that force opponents to stay out of an area, or move in a certain, most likely more predictable pattern. the other side of control is the disrupting brawlers such as otis, willow, gene, Charlie, and Mr. P, all having some form of ability that keeps opponents from using their own brawlers effectively. the brawler that least fits this class is probably griff because he can very well be a damage dealer as well, but the spread of his attack and super makes him an efficient area control brawler by threatening so much damage
