Load a Ceiling-Mounted Electrical Family
Go to the Insert tab Load Family.
Navigate to the library or your custom content and load a ceiling-mounted electrical family e.g. lighting fixtures, smoke detectors, speakers.
2. Place the Fixture on a Ceiling
Switch to a ceiling plan view.
Go to the Systems tab Select the relevant fixture type e.g. lighting or devices
Ensure the family is set to Ceiling-Based it attaches automatically to the ceiling
Adjust Placement and Orientation
Use Modify tools to reposition the fixture as needed.
