I was at that competition when they performed this. This is easily the best halftime ive ever seen. Im in marching band and this was SO much better than my schools show. When the mario and luigi trombone players came out, me and my friends went nuts!! This was amazing

Yall are so incredibly amazing! I love Metallica, and you all take it to another level! I have probably watched the competition video 50 times, listen to it in my car, it’s awesome. Then this one is even better!! It’s clear you all have huge talent and have been working so hard, and Funi is a musical genius! PC is my hometown and you all make me so proud! Well done Band of Gold!

I was Glencoe band, snare closest to quads. It was the most fulfilling moment in my life hear all 1s, especially since it was my first year in drumline

Cory Funderburg is a musical GENIUS! To be able to take what most consider hard rock (and also one of my all time favorite bands) and turn it into this masterpiece played by a high school band is absolutely incredible. These kids clearly have so much talent! I’m so proud to say this is my home town! Keep rocking it band of Gold! I’m forever proud of each one of you!
I think it’s genius! To take a completely different genre of music and play it by an incredible marching band shows extreme creativity and talent. But they even took it one step further and it’s absolute perfection! I’ve always been a Metallica fan, but this just goes above and beyond. I can recognize each song, but it’s not boring “ karaoke” style. Outstanding job, Band of Gold!,
