@@imshakedown hey man thanks for taking time to watch the video and write out your comment, theres definitely alot of validity in your argument and i can feel the frustration that fans of the switch will have with my criticisms. I probably will make a separate video about Game Freak at some point because the quality of games since the change to 3D has been alarmingly inconsistent in my opinion (though possibly due to unrealistic deadlines ect). This video is more about MY experience with the switch and frustration with it, i know there is a large community of people who love the switch games and i wish that could be me but i just really dont feel that. Hopefully i dont feel the same about the switch 2!

@@Spaggetabout_It im glad you enjoyed these games, and maybe im just not the target demographic of Nintendo anymore but 7/11 of the games you named are Zelda or Mario titles. Thats sort of my issue really. As someone who clearly has made the most out of the switch, which games would you recommend to me out of interest?

@@himaxchampion There's also the Fire emblem games, Monster hunter rise and a metric ton of jrpg's on the system. And don't forget the indie scene

@himaxchampion Steam is a different thing entirely from it, compared to all the modern gaming consoles Switch outclasses them due to its longevity

@@shahabdnsh2727 but i have to buy it to know if i like it? As i say in the video, i have always had an affection for Nintendo. I just want them to make the best product possible and for me the switch isnt that, i have a lot of hope for the switch 2 though

@ if you research before buying you will know that you get first party nintendo games but you wont get 3rd party support if you like zelda mario animal crossing etc its for you but if you want more 3rd party game support or high end graphics its not for you

@@himaxchampion i did back when it was trunews and Laurence would look out for him or bring him down to earth, they used to take the mick out of everyone but fairly now gordie is all trump and no care for what he says he will also get away with alot more now with this new audience as they all echo his opinions they have no brain cells just few 100/1000 like me and you who stay subbed and check on him out of hopes he will get back on his feet again some day we want the best for him even though we feel he's let the old fans down

I would love to see switch sales if they made the games available to play on PC. It just sucks that nintendo cant deliver a modern competitive console, especially considering how much money they have its crazy

"only" ? so the affordable price and hybrid functionality means nothing? and yeah the joycons suck, but the pro controller is great and feels genuinely high quality. i wish they didn't care about the joycons being able to be played individually, i think that really hindered the potential for their design. but actually the technology within the joycon is really cool and impressive to me, and they make for some pretty fun game mechanics. but all of that goes out the window when the sticks don't work lol

People tend to forget that this thing launched in 2017. The graphics were genuinely amazing for a handheld experience. The console could run Doom, a 2016 AAA game. Yes the joycons are terrible but you can literally change them for 3rd party alternatives if you want to. Also the Switch pro controller is imo the best controller in it's price range at this point in time.

@@alexwallach7683 SI definitely deserve some criticism, this is a real big cock up and theres no excuse. However, i do believe pressure for pre-orders would have been demanded by Sega and thats why i mainly place the blame on them for exploiting fans. SI to me have been very good sith communication and thiugh they havent told us much about the game, they have still given updates on on other things (like why they cant update the database ect. SI definitely deserve some criticism but my main issue with the game being late is that they opened up pre orders, i dont think that was SIs decision (though i could be wrong)

@@Thomas-yr3id it definitely helped me that the ending is so famous because i already knew about it before starting the show. So i didnt go into the finale with false expectations. I can however understand how frustrating it would have been at the time. Taking the frustration out of it, i do think it is a good ending and i dont mind that they allow fans to fill in the blanks for themselves. It leaves you feeling the same way Tony is probably feeling in the restaurant.

@@TheFilipFonky thats definitely a valid argument, however i didnt say “all people who dont want women in football manager hate women” i just believe there are a few that maybe do. I understand your resources argument, but the way i see it - they have a database that covers leagues all over the world, in countries that most people will never play in. If they added a womans database with a few tweaks to the engine to make a new mode, i find that a quite interesting mechanic and believe alot of people would play it regardless of how much womens football they watch. I don’t watch much womens football at all, but id love to play football manager in the women’s league.

@@exiquio they want to make the game more accessible i guess, still sucks though. Even if the graphics do get better, they have a long way to go to match modern graphics

@@isaacng315 i did see SI make a comment on that in the research for this video. Basically they have a database ready for FM25, but bc they have obtained new rights for some leagues it would be illegal for them too asd the new database to the old game. It does suck but atleast they have explained why they cant do it. I do have the new database on PC though, although they dont update certain players which is annoying (EG. Cole Palmer always gets transfer listed by chelsea bc hes bad)

@@roguebritgravy1 i get what you mean, as in hist story had ran its course and there is no where to go. That sort of fits with the idea that he will always be looking over his shoulder, he has to do that because he will never change (lol chuck mcgill reference) and his fate is inevitable. As for Phil, i dont have an issue with his role in the series i just wish we saw more of him towards the finale. He was such a great interesting character and even off screen he had such a presence, i just wish we saw more about what he was planning ect but thats not necessarily a criticism

@himaxchampion exactly. Oh yes, Tony cannot change. He tried, mostly half assedly but even when he was trying, he couldn't. Phil was a great villain, the last of the old school and proved why New York was such a force to be reckoned with. I think it was because of scheduling conflicts we didn't see more. Granted I'm going off what I vaguely remember in a Pure Kino video but the actor Frank Vincent had other commitments at the time of filming when he had finished certain scenes. Its apparently why you don't see him when he shouts from the windows at Tony and Lil Carmine. True, I put it down to when you're in the business for around as long as Phil, you pretty much just need a lot of soldiers and weapons, its the number 2s who do the thinking, using hitmen who know what they are doing, at the right place, time and equipment, and have no issues doing the deed. Oh I didn't think it was criticism. I was curious if you had any different ideas for Phil, how you would have used him or had a better death in mind.

It will need to be. If they release FM past March every year they will lose a lot of sales. Can’t release football games past half way through the season. May as well just release it in August and pretend there was never a FM25.

@ they could move to an update system, where you just update the game each year. Either that or move the release to new year. They have completely made a mess of it financially though

@@oneeyedjakes6336 i actually did see that, it made me feel really happy for him. Im glad hes away from London and living his best life, even if that means that the content isnt the same. I do wish he gave more clarity earlier though, part of the reason videos like this one have been made is because of the lack of communication with fans. I get he doesn’t want drama ect, but when everything is changing so much i think the fans do deserve clarity. I saw a comment on that video asking for a life update podcast and i think thats a good idea, i know he wouldnt like to but it would be appreciated if he let everyone know what was going on in his life abit more.
