@nicolaslezas7610 My in-camera settings never went above 9. I used to live right around 7, and I used the premps from the mke instead of the camera because, as you know, the Sony Preamps are garbage like most camera preamps.

@@KID_CULTURE hmmm after watching the video I think the issue is on your other Picture Profile, I see a green tint on that too, but the EOSHD looks fine, so I'm not sure if the talking head was filmed with the Canon one. You are right the stills look amazing but don't know why I didn't like the video on the Canon PP. Keep up the good works, you deserve way more subscribers and you got one new here. Just subscribed. When on my a7iii it does have a noticeable hint of self noise that you may not like for ASMR. If you are doing live I can see that as a problem but if you plan on recording and editing your audio it is very easy to remove and it sounds amazing. So it really comes down to if you are going to edit your audio I would say it is a good microphone but if you are trying to do live you may not like the self noise

As long as you gain stage properly you won't hear any hiss. The reason you hear hiss in this video is because I wanted to demonstrate how bad the audio can sound if you rely on the cameras pre amps instead of the ones on the mic.

@terrychenowith -- All of these picture profiles are usable settings for sony cameras (aps-c or full frame 8 bit color). The first pp is just the standard that already comes with all sony's. The second is the eoshd v 4.0 color settings for 30 bucks -- the last pp is from a bundle sold by full time filmmaker.

I usually set my gain in camera(A7II) at a 2 - 4 range with the MKE at its highest gain setting on the flat profile and that does the job for me. With those settings my levels are between -18 and -12 db and that is my target range. If you can be between these levels you can increase your levels in post to peak at -0.2 db without introducing hiss. Especially if you are arms length away. Have you tested it in different settings? Quiet and noisy to see if there may be a difference?

I haven't experienced anything like that. I rarely use it with my android let alone my apple devices so I'm not sure why it would sound low. Are you using it with an audio editing software or just through your voice recorder app? It could be the levels need to be set properly in the app if you are using an audio editing software -- if not it could just be a software issue with Apple itself. I would try it on a non apple device to see if you're mic battery indicator is still reading green with no issues.

Agreed. That looseness is definitely a defect. Mine is also completely solid. But, that makes me want to be extra careful not to knock it around too much.

@ Susan Mason That's one of the biggest issues I have with anyone claiming to be a "woman". I don't think it is fair to women that are born with all the proper genitalia and chromosomes. The things that women have to endure and go through with the internal changes of their bodies to child birth throughout their lives -- I feel as though that is what makes you a "Real woman". People can feel as they please. But I feel as though you take away all of the suffering as well as all of the beauties of being a natural born woman away and dilute it by claiming that you are a "real woman" and that it doesn't matter what the science says on the matter. But instead all that matters is how you feel on the inside that makes you a part of womanhood. Can you imagine if people were to do blackface and claim to be black? There would be an uproar because painting your face doesn't automatically change your heritage, your background, your family history, your suffering -- I can go on and on. Same analogy applies here. You can't change your gender, slap on some make-up and claim to be a natural and real woman because you will never inherit the suffering as well as the beauties of what it means to be born female. Everyone has the right to feel, dress as they please. Life is short so do what makes you happy while you're alive. But arguing against the facts or science is where people differ. Maybe the fight isn't with one another but instead with the people at Websters dictionary. That would be were I would start if I truly wanted to change the mind of the masses -- I think it hasn't happened because it's not realistic. Thank you for your comment
