I don’t get it the hate, Seek One produces some of if not the best hunting content on youtube. It’s a faith based group of guys that seem genuinely good dudes, I met Lee at the NWTF convention in Nashville last year and amidst the chaos of the show he took a few minutes to talk to me personally and even took a picture with me. In reference to the baiting conversation: I think people who grew up in non baiting states or people who hunted strictly public have such a jaded view of it because what hunting is to them relies heavily on woodsmanship. For myself, step dad and brother, hunting was scouting your butt off on public, reading the sign and then hypothesizing where the deer will step out. Not that people who bait don’t do that because I am sure some do, but it cheapens the whole deal, now instead of using your know how to get a deer in bow range you just get within 200yds and plop a bait pile. And people who’ve grown up using bait, thats what hunting is to them. I think its why so many of us are miles apart on the topic, because baiting or not baiting changes the fundamental dynamics of hunting. That said, a bait pile alone is highly unlikely to get you those big mature deer. I certainly don’t think you can just throw some corn out and kill a booner every season. Growing up me and my brother were just happy to see a deer, densities are so low in Appalachia that killing 2-3 per season was absolutely stellar. I mean you’d have thought a 6 pointer was the Milo Hanson buck with how excited and happy we’d be. Lets continue to hash these things out but lets do it in a way that keeps this house (hunting community) undivided! P.S that 188” video was the best piece of entertainment I have ever witnessed.

Cody, thanks to you all of us got to experience this hunt in such an intimate/real way, like being right there with you both, sharing in the experience of this amazing hunt. I have been in similar situations on a big buck in the pouring rain, waiting for the buck to make his move for what seems like an eternity while the adrenalin is pumping through my body making me want to lay down and pass out, for you both to remain composed through all that and capture that footage is remarkable. Thank you both for doing what you do and sharing these experiences.

I hunt lock ons often. I recently set one up in a new spot. And it was raining, I set it up and the tree was super slick. I was able to sit but it was shifting too much for comfort.!I got down decided to hunt the ground in a different spot. No deer is worth it. As much as we don’t think about it. This man is a living testimony that others need to hear. The passion of hunting gets in the way of our common sense at times. And it could happen to anyone of us!

This story hits home I've lost my father recently to a stroke I ended up having to make the hardest decision of my life to keep him on a machine or let him go i don't wish that decision on anyone I've dealt with loosing my grandmother to cancer as well to my little brother being murdered in Dayton ohio I've always liked hunting and recently decided life is to short to be just trying to save up enough to have the hunting supplies I need so I just got what I could n said hell with it I'm gonna do what makes me happy this year is the first year I've been back in the woods since I was a kid for someone wanting to get into bow hunting would u have any suggestions that would make me better as a hunter n a woodsman I love u guys put this story out there i put my faith in the man upstairs and what will be is what it will be life moves on for the people who was left behind and we are left with just all the pain of loosing them but thank you for what u guys do I love watching all your videos makes me excited to get in the woods

Your Mom and Dad would be proud of you. You will see them again someday. Thanks for sharing your story. Keep your eyes on the prize. Heaven is our most important goal, in the meantime we will love hunting, our family and friends and our savior. Not necessarily in that order obviously

How long between a kill and a find does a deer get determined found? Or is it always a kill even if you find it the next year as long as you save your tag

Dude I have such a familiar life story. So many people do. Hunting is peaceful and helps me stay close to God our creator. Rooting for you man.

I am ready to see Lee go tackle public land Appalachia. He’s really got a sharp mind for whitetail but I’d love to see him do the hardest whitetail hunting there is. Where theres only 1 deer per square mile (640 acres)….Thats just deer, much less a quality buck. I grew up hunting the Allegheny mountains in Virginia, biggest deer I have ever seen taken in those woods is a 212 inch deer my step dad killed. Anyways…go hunt public Appalachia Lee! I would love to see it!
