I like the speakers on your desk. Thank you for posting.
So...you cant just rip the front off to clean the filter inside? You really do need to open the whole computer with sides and all to do this? Wow, such a design-flaw!
Actually you can just pull it firmly off from outside, np
where do we find documentation on the pre-defined functions? I'm trying to make my think6.5 toggle the LED whenever I am in another layer but can't seem to find an any example.
How do you make the F keys work on Gray Studio's Space65?
You’re a genius and your shirt is genius.
This dude just helped me remove the front panel after hours of trying to find out how. Fucking legend.
Yeah well i still cant take mine off bcs the knobs don't want to jump out and there are 3 in the front and 4 in the back....
I'm really confused by the bracket notation around the layer assignment. For example [_QWERTY] = KEYMAP( ... What is going on here? Can someone explain to me? It's driving me nuts.
THANKS
Man, the only one on the internet actually talking about programmer's needs. Thanks, I was wondering for a long time about getting a let's split, but I too need all the symbols
Id love youto explain how to add a rotary encoder to the key map, im trying to make various encoders to get a nice one for video editing (scrubbing through the timeline). Ive made a gorgeous magnetic encoder with smooth action, but at the mo its onky working on its own usb pro micro (using arduino programming). Cheers great video
Sounds to me like you just have your layers set up badly
*In the next video make music MORE LOUDE (+100 dbi)!! Good job!*
Instead of backspace, enter and so on you should try to use the thumbs for layer modifiers. I also have the shift key on my left thumb. And I agree, the thumb cluster on the ergodox is mostly useless. I have a Redox keyboard and I only use the lower two keys and I also think the thumb cluster of the ergodox is too far away and you have to stretch you thumb to much. The Redox thumb cluster is a bit closer
Instead of backspace, delete and enter I have the modifiers for the different layers and (because I'm German and we have more uppercase letters than English) shift on the thumb cluster. This makes it much easier to reach the different layers. I don't like using my pinkies for modifiers. And I always hated it to use my pinkies for shift on regular keyboards
Thank you so much for this, I just got this case and was struggling to get the front panel off.
BFO-9000
glazing putty looks good but i saw "plastic flexible bumper filler" and wonder how that would work on a fresh, raw case. ie, i would prefer to fill, sand, prime, paint (in that order, with no repeats). any ideas?
The updated link for the file at 2:20 is drive.google.com/uc?id=1Hen_EubuLGsLp-zjl3AkJD69npaYPcS2&export=download
Upload them case files playboy
Are you still using this keyboard?
Interesting, because most people seem to find this kind of thumb key placement to be the most ergonomic, the majority of people are really annoyed by its placement on the ergodox
hi sean, where do you get the acrylic case file? are you design it by yourself or download it from someone else? im planning on hand wiring my own ergodox and cant find the acrylic case file (sorry for my bad english)
Have you had any reliability issues with your Matias switches since you built this?
how do you get your firmware to compile / were do you do that??
Respect for doing this with just a 1/4” bit! Love the design, thanks for sharing this!
U try the dactyl manuform? I love the thumb cluster angle much better from that design
Why do you need a Linux VM for that? Shouldn't one be able to set up the same dev environment on Windows too?
does it work with the akko 3068?
I just want to program one button to do something else, I feel like I dont understand anything in this video
hey sean I have just built an identical lets split and I also have any issue of a single key not working (the x key) and I am wanting fix it the same way you have but i am unsure where to attach the wires to on the pro micro. would you be able to point me in the right direction on how to go about fixing this specific problem?
Hi Sean, have you tried the manuform version of this? I wonder if it would be more comfortable?
Not a single shot of you typing on it, over three videos?
Great vid! How did you source the ergo caps for alps style? I'd like to make a Dactyl with alps as well but I'm worried about not being able to find caps for an ergo board.
10:04 What happened to your watch at this point?
How do you live without a spacebar. . .
Its been 4 years, and i need to know!? Like is he a medieval writer from the days before words had spaces between them? 😂
Building a dactyl right now. This is super helpful! Got me to revisit the qmk docs and I had the aha moment for how the config works. :) Hope you're doing well Sean!
good thing theres a video that has no windowed side panel ❤️ gonna get this pc case tomorrow thnx for the review
how did u go with it
Do you have the stl files for this? I currently use an Apple AEKII that I've handwired and would love to be able to use these switches on something like this.
Very nice video, shame there wasn't the part about flashing the pro micro s using QMK software. I have been trying to get that to work for a couple days now and can't seem to make it work. I get a success from the command `sudo make lets_split/rev2:default:avrdude` wich I ran on both pro micro s but after disconnecting and reconnecting the pro micro nothing happens. I am on mac by the way (mac os mojave).
i'm getting the error "programmer is not responding... any help
You look like Mark Hamill.
Oh yeahhh
Have you had a look at the iris? It's kinda in between the let's split and the ergodox. It's small and simple, but has a more thumb-focused layout
is it possible to set the shift key to a setting where only the next letter will be capitalized after you press the shift key? i am trying to avoid having to hold down shift and a letter at the same
This would be useful. Would be cool if the shift lights up when it's "active" and turn off when it's "unactive" after pressing the shift again or a letter. Just like those scientific calculators but with leds to indicate it.
Thank you, very nice video! I wonder where I can get the 3.5" HDD bay because I got this case as a free gift when I bought a Cooler Master MasterCase Pro 5 from someone but apparently the seller lost it as it wasn't included together with the case.
Please somebody sell this!
Sound is bad - get a mic close to your mouth.
Can one of these be purchased anywhere?
optical drives still have some uses. They should at least have a mod-ready mount, and a place marked on back side of face to cut a slot.
Can u make an in depth guide about functions? qmk documentation is frustratingly limited on this topic
your room is super boomy …
