Expanded crystal cave WIP - Kotor mods

A showcase for my WIP extended crystal cave for k1. I imported the module from k2 and brought my whole edits. The cave is already fully playable and has the same loot as k1. I still need to bring some mandalo guys in the unused room. Also trying the script for the hive to call for the nest, i need to tweak it a bit.

I brought Bao Dur's arm to the vanilla scout model, and manually fixed uv maps and textures to make the whole customisation possible. Every vanilla appearances and skins coming from robes, armors or clothings are supported. You can tie any head to the body model. Very exciting! Are npcs going to be given unique appearances?
Most of the important ones yep! Im trying to vary the commoners appearances aswell to fight the clone effects from these old games :)

@@Will-kx7lt so you can check my other videos about feat classes rebalance. The project is the "Kotor expansion pack". It is slowly building and it packs a lot of rework. I wish to release an alpha build but it is not going to release yet. Maybe Half of 2k25 but i make no promises ;)
Will you be planning to add more Bounties or even add more Modules to Taris?
New bounties i dont know yet, but i rebalanced the values for each of them and a new armband will be available once they are completed allowing to get few credits upon killing anything in the game. I am thinking about adding some kind of timer to do them before other bounty hunters collect them aswell. For new modules i am thinking about a back alley to introduce black market and hand to hand combat. Also revising the cut spice lab to make it a module you can go to as a light sider, as you attack the bek base as a dark sider ;)
@@zobizobstudio Super based, ya king! Have you guys in Holocron Toolset figured out yet how to create new modules? Or will you be using the Module Editor? i.e the Kits.
@@Colonel-Cornelius-CornJulio Not yet unfortunately for purely custom modules. Tho, i can add models through blender now to make it more dinstinguishable. The back alley will basically reuse the swoop platform with maybe a bit of retexture/distinct placeable and will be accessible via the elevator from the lower city apartments (just like K1R which provide access to the swoop platform). Populated by racist aliens toward humans to mirror the upper city. The spice lab is an unused module, so no worries here. I wish to import some modules from K2 aswell (the crystal cave is nearly complete for Dantooine, and the vanilla crystal cave will be moved to Korriban). There are some unused modules like the czera depot that can fit into Korriban too. Nothing done yet but that's the ideas ;)

Fantastic dedication man! Your work and creativity are astonishing! Honestly, I've been to every corner and know every nook and cranny of Taris that I just use most of the time the Skip Taris Mod to avoid it.... But this mod actually brings new light to Taris and I want to go through Taris ( for the hundred billionth time again) just to experience your mod ;)

@transformersfan500okane3 Can you mod kotor on tablet? Answer: No you cannot. BUT if you are android 10/under you can directly modify the modules or maps/ areas on a PC then replace the original game modules with your updated ones.

Can you please credit the repeating blaster attacks properly and not make it sound like it was your work? Also I don't remember being asked about its inclusion in your modpack.
Ho i credited the Nereithr mod (who i have authorization for to use the script) in the description : image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2024/48/3/1732663003-ff.jpg. But indeed i did not properly display it in the video tho. Looking back at the video, the only thing i was meaning is that, taking the decision to apply the repeater attack restoration to blaster carbine was my intention to give it a more distinct role within the sandbox compared to other rifles, not to get credit for anything. EDIT = So if you're R2-X2, i checked both codes from the source files from both your mod and the Nereithr mod and the code seems to be different. The original idea was from Bioware, but if you want me to credit you for the original mod creation, it is a mistake from my part and I will credit you everywhere needed from now on. You are now credited you and your mod in the description.
@@zobizobstudio I checked, and the code is indeed a bit different. Better than my older 2018 code, but more convoluted than my 2024 one. But even then, nobody bothered to address this in 15 years, from the game's release in 2003 to my first upload in 2018, and without my mod, it probably still wouldn't be right now, so I feel like some credit for it is appropriate :) Thank you!
Looking forward to the other vids. As for party i always make zaal to soldier and carth to scout.
Zaalbar will be an hybrid between soldier and scout, and carth a better version from soldier using scout skill progression, so this is the exact same philosophy intended here. I have some more things to show but lets wait for the proper companion video !
@@zobizobstudio i will surely be using unarmed with zaal usually i just make a hidden item in the unarmed slot for more unarmed damage but i never made a feat system to give him more then the item's overall one time deal.
@@NECABANT Haha you're predicting any of my moves ! Zaalbar will now start with unarmed 3 aswell despite being lvl 1 😆So he will be the best unarmed character from the cast by default, but you can upgrade this higher in the long run.

Si tu veux ajoute moi sur Discord, Fistouile#4416, si tu as des dispos on peut regarder ça ensemble vite fait via un partage d'écran ou autre, j'ai un peu du mal à comprendre ton soucis ;) Par ailleurs c'est basique mais on ne sait jamais : L'addon Kotor blender fonctionne avec Blender 3.3 jusqu'à 4.0. Perso je suis sous 4.0.
Can I import full kotor 1-2 levels into blender?
Yes you can. You have to download first Kotorblender addon for blender, install it, turn it on. Then extract the model file you need (the levels are subdivided in separate models, if you want to see everything you can extract the layout aswell for the level). Finally, import your model using kotorblender add on.

ok so i cant figure out why all the modules are greyed out in my drop down. i cant figure out how to extract a module for edting because of this. do you have any suggestions??
Gonna ask some questions first : - Can you select a module using the dropdown list, or you can't even see the files contained within them ? - Make sure the path Holocron use is the good one - Execute as administrator maybe ? - You can always ask on the holocron discord server : discord.com/channels/958974283638513714/959024701139718145 I did not make the tool, so i'm not sure what is going wrong for you.

Can i ask how to instal
Download the file on NexusMod here : www.nexusmods.com/kotor/mods/1674?tab=files , click the executable. You will have a scrolling panel, select "Main install" first and install it with the installer provided. Then restart the executable, and choose a head to tie to the body model (asian/white/black skins). You can install every head if you want to, but do not install the same head multiple time. Once you've done that, start your game. Select a new game, and when you select your portraits you will notice the character has a broken skin in the UI (because its a unique skin, to long to explain). Select this one and once in game everything will be fine. Cheers,

It is not a plan, but yes ofc it would be great. Especially the grunts :D Maybe i can tie a model with preexisting animations, but it is too much work right now (and im not even sure it would work 100% in the end).
Ho btw ! I have a project undergoing, it is to replace T3-M4 with 343 guilty spark. It is animated (thanks to TSL sensor ball), and i have some sound effects. It is not ready at all yet but i will release this at some point ! I'd like to have a mod to put 343 guilty spark on Star Forge also, just as if he was the monitor for the whole installation.

Vanilla models have 3 different sizes (Soldier/Tall, Scout/Medium, Scoundrel/small), and they change skin depending on the size. My model has only 1 size, so atm only the scout appearance is available for clothings, but you can still play as a soldier/scoundrel (you wont have the soldier/scoundrel size and skin tho).
I swear I've played both games to death, but classes have different sizes? Like bulk or height? Thanks!
@@mathiasnrum2375 Indeed, they have different height and their texture + body model are different. You can check for yourself, Canderous has the tall model, carth has the medium model (interesting because he is a soldier, i think bioware made this to make him stand out a bit more compared to canderous).

Im using Glintercept, it gives you free cam options, but as you can see it may create some visual glitches depending on the angle/distance you're looking with your current PC ;)

So atm i am trying to import melee combat as a feat for k1, i need some kind of "trainers" to provide the feat, this general would be on Dantooine to train the player, teach some lessons and give some extra lore about Malachor. The Kel Dor model is a modder's ressource that is not from me, i simply tied the Bao Dur arm/animations. The texture is not from me either, but comes from a very old mod appearance (i find this robe super dope). TLDR i stitched the whole thing together and added the bao dur arm. Lmao the textures are not my work, i extracted it from someone who retextured the Head model from Inyriforge. But ye, the Baron Samedi vibe is great with this skin, it will surely be some dark side zabrak on Korriban.
