I love cross stitch and had been doing it for many years but put it down and was side tracked into machine embroidery… I stumbled on to your post and after I finish my machine embroidery gifts I will go back to cross stitch!!
Thank you so much for your sweet comment! I'm so happy you are going to give it a try again❤️
Amazing!! ❤❤
Thank you ❤️
I love that lunch box! I found a metal lunch box at a Goodwill store with the intention of putting my art supplies in there but I ended up putting my English paper piecing stuff in there instead and I added two magnets that got adhesive on the back to the lid so in case I need to stop for a second I can put my needle up there in a pinch.
Thank you! I hope you enjoy your stitching lunch box! They are so fun to keep things in. Thanks for watching and commenting❤️
Perfect use for those old CD cases. I often have leftover pieces of those sticky mounting boards and this is a great way to use those as well!
Thank you! I hope you make one😃 Thanks for watching and commenting
A while ago I stepped away from cross stitch to raise my autistic daughter and get my own degrees. I came back and quickly became addicted. I started picking up bulk magazines on eBay. I just had to get the full collection of for the love of cross stitch. Faced with a possible move (thankfully didn’t happen) I was faced with packing up 1000 magazines. That’s when I decided to cut them up. I know it’s a sin to cut up a magazine but I soon realized most of the magazines I’d collected were not printed on quality paper and this could not be saved forever. Plus half the magazine is advertisements. Now I still have too much because I kept patterns that I would not do but I thought others would. But ever with that I still have 1/3 of what I had before.
I agree it's hard to cut them up but it makes them so much more manageable. I'm happy you have been able to get back into cross stitch❤️ Thanks for watching and commenting!
What a clever idea with your FFO. I would love to see a tutorial !
Thank you! That's a great idea, I will add it to my list!
Such talent! Thank you for sharing the amazing work you do.
Oh, thank you so much for your sweet comment! Thank you for watching and commenting🧡
I have a female ginger kitty named Eeny, a tuxedo kitty named Miguel and grey striped tabby name Rebel. They love to help me with my stitchy projects and are great floss winders!
A female ginger cat❤️ What a precious name! Sounds like 3 wonderful little helpers😂 I'm sure your floss is very neatly wound and no tangles🤣
I do find it amazing that as soon as I settle down to sew the my cat sassy pants has to get in there to do what she thinks is helping. I even get pushed off by chair with her paws into my butt. What a beautiful and useful piece you have made. I've not really done any cross stitching for a few years. I seem to be into thread painting embroidery at the moment plus some bags.
HaHa sounds like she really takes her name seriously ❤️😂 Thank you for your lovely compliment! I have never tried thread painting, it is very beautiful
I enjoy the older books too. They are usually .50 at my local tbrift store.
.50 is a great price! Thank you so much for watching and commenting🧡
I love your strawberry drum finish. Great idea to use a peanut can. ☺️
Thanks so much! 😊
I love your plan for the finish of the hen, and chicken. I am also inspired to make a faux drum out of a can. Brilliant! I adore old patterns and honestly I rarely update them. Lol
Wonderful! I hope you do give it a try, it's quite easy. Thank you so much for watching and commenting!
I have an app on my phone that is my design board. It’s called Freeform. Your idea is so fun! Love your WIPs!
Thank you 🧡
Did you use a 2.5 stitch to sew the slider part in?
Just a regular stitch length. I think it’s a 3
Love your Holly Hobby plate. I have one and have used it for Birthday cakes.
Using one for birthday cakes is an adorable idea!
This is such a fantastic idea, thanks for sharing. Maria
You are so welcome! Thanks for commenting🧡
