Great selection, all albums are some of the best you can get of all time... the productions were just about to get as polished as we can get.! I would definitely swap a couple from the top 6, Danzig and Death out, Anthrax State Of Euphoria and Overkill Under the Influence in. Other mentions, Helloween Keeper II, King Diamond Them, Manowar Kings Of Metal.

Now, this is a year that could easily be a top 60 albums, let alone top 6. The 6 you named are faultless, not necessarily in the same order as I would have chosen, but I would have had to include Testament somewhere. It's one of my all-time favourite records. Im starting to get my lists together for this thread and hopefully show some hidden gems. Good luck with the Southern tour, dude 🤘

Awesome list for 1988 Kris! Slayer, Metallica, Megadeth and Death would have made it for me too. Not the biggest fan of Seventh Son by Maiden, it never clicked with me. The New Order by Testament would have been there for me, it's my favourite Testament album. Dimension Hatross and Blood Fire Death are great albums, one of them might have made it for me. I totally get why you put Sate of Euphoria as your omission. I always felt it sounded unfinished and rushed. I can definitely hear some of it blending into the next album, which I definitely agree is a much better album. I can do without hearing Antisocial ever again mindyou haha! I am still working my way through Mike's series, but I was also surprised nobody else jumped on this idea. I may do so myself, at some point, but any 1987 list without Appetite For Destruction is not a list worth paying attention to. One of the greatest albums of all time, and probably the VERY best debut. Sweet Child and November Rain are absolute bangers too, as well as many others from the Use Your Illusions. You're just wrong! 😜 In all seriousness, though, this is a great list, apart from that obvious blunder! I'd have to get Testament's debut in there, too. Great video, overall! Some great picks, I agree Among the Living is the best Anthrax album. I like Persistence but I prefer this one, and Spreading the Disease is a little overrated. Scream Bloody Gore is a great album, it would be high on my Death ranking. I've never listened to the Garage Days EP, my dad has on OG on vinyl, I'll have to check it out. I totally understand GnR being your omission, it is a very well known and overplayed album. It's an album I only know the singles, but never listened to the full album. Does that make me one of those edgy posers? 😂😂🤘🏻

Glad you are digging that daisy cutter album it’s their debut album though they’ve been around for a few years. I need to give this new Akhlys record a listen. For me, "Turn Loose the Swans" is also among my top 5 favorite metal albums of all time. Honestly, it's my number one. The other four, without any specific order, are: Mental Home - "Black Art" (1998): An album I highly recommend. It's a very good melodic death doom metal record. My recommendations are "Pagan Freedom," "Under The Wing," "On A Hand Of The Universe," "Into The Realms Of Marena." "Stormblåst" by Dimmu Borgir (1996): For me, it's their best album in their history. My favorites are "Broderskapets Ring," "Stormblåst," "Da Den Kristne Satte Livet Til," "Cuds Fortapelse/Apenbaring Av Dommedag." "Gothic" by Paradise Lost (1991): Like the Dimmu Borgir album, it's their best album for my personal taste. I think "Obsidian" can undoubtedly follow it (for many, "Draconian Times" is their best album, for me, it's just another Paradise Lost album. It's not bad, in fact, it's excellent, but for me, it doesn't stand out as much as this beautiful album or others by the band). My favorites from "Gothic" are "Gothic," "Shattered," "Eternal," "Angel Tears," "The Painless." I love this album almost as much as I love "Turn Loose the Swans." "Skydancer" by Dark Tranquillity (1993): Even though I prefer darker and gloomier metal, this album captivated me the first time I heard it. Thanks to this album, I became a fan of melodic death metal. For me, along with "The Gallery," these are their best albums, although this one is the best in their entire discography. My favorites are "In Tears Bereaved," "My Faeryland Forgotten," "Through Ebony Archways," "Shadow Duet," "Alone." To be clear, I love them from beginning to end, and I love all the songs from these 5 albums with all my soul. I only highlighted the ones that stand out the most for me. Ive stayed all inclusive when younger. Due to recommendations by relatives. You are so so right lol. I often wonder why dont people who want a holiday like that just go stay in one of those wetherspoon hotels?! Egg and chips everyday and a pint of fucking carling with every meal lol.

Great response, mate. Some absolute belters in here - both albums and titles! 'Fresh Fruit for Rotting Vegetables' has to be one of the best album titles of all time, but I don't actually own any Dead Kennedys, which is a crime that I must remedy! The only Megadeth remasters I've heard are of 'Rust in Peace' and 'Countdown to Exctinction' and they suck! Crazy to think that he was apparently sober when he did that! 😂 SFSGSW is underrated, but the Sex Pistols cover is a shocker! Best wishes to you all mate. Hopefully you'll all find a better place now. It's tough being in a band if you are not all seeing eye to eye, especially heartbreaking if you are friends too. Experienced our fair share of that in recent years. This last year has been better than ever though after making some much needed yet very tough changes.

Really sorry to hear about whats going on with gs and its a shame gaz is no longer a member of the band. Being in a underground band is a extremely expensive and frustrating hobby at times but is great when things go your way. Luckily for yourself you have joined godthrymm with a doom metal juggernaut that is hamish so due to his( well earned) connections will have less road bumps going forward. I look forward to hearing the gs recordings and keep plugging away. Hopefully ill bump into you for a catch up with you at a northern gig with one of your bands before the end of the year.

Ill send you my bill to fly out and play in Green Sabre... If i could play guitar and didn't live on the arse of England then I totally would! Seems strange we didn't get asked to play that Ipswich gig as only an hour up the road, and Andy our guitarist lives there haha. Bands are the biggest pain in my backside, money, being on the same wave length and creative differences all lead to the biggest diva moments metal head blokes can produce. Think we should do a live stream on how much of a pain in the arse it is to be in bands haha!

It is hard as you say, I'd love to get a band together and play some of my solo tracks live. Or just try to get a band together to make a new project, but it's so damn hard!! Felt the same about MDB, still haven't made my mind up what I really think but first 3 tracks on A side and then 1st of the C side were strongest for me.
