      Glad you found my videos as well! I love my vice from Area 419! It has allowed me to do pistol work and removal and installation of muzzle brakes that are suppressor QD attachments. I can hold the barrel perfectly and then heat the stock muzzle device with a heat gun, then just unscrew it without marring the barrel. Plus, the pistol work is delicate, and works great to hold the parts firmly.

    Use EXTREME CARE if door breaching with conventional shotgun ammo !!!!! You WILL create ricochet material when breaching. Conventional shot ammo WILL be dangerous to anyone in close proximity. Special door breaching ammo should be used that doesn’t have the lead or steel shot to create the ricochet danger. The ports on this choke prevent a barrel over-pressure condition in the event the muzzle is flush against an object, would act like a plugged barrel. The ‘teeth’ (crenellations) on the end of the choke ensure a ‘bite’ into the woodwork around a hinge or door lock, so the recoil doesn’t move the muzzle from the desired target. YES, they would do a J O B on someone’s face (jab and twist), but that not their purpose.

    why is 2 holes a problem? Youre already drilling into the stock so whats the big deal? 2 holes dont show more than 1. 2 holes dont make it weak or inferior at all. Velcro makes it stick out and looks cheap. 2 mounting locations is stronger than 1 with velcro. AND, that Matchsaverz logo looks ridiculous. thanks for the video though

    • @docgsreloading7985
      @docgsreloading7985 Месяц назад

      Hey, thanks for watching! I did not have any trouble and it just snapped right in. Be aware that the tiny half-moon cut out on the slide that you need to align to remove the slide release, still has to be aligned with the back of the thumb rest, so it installs exactly as the slide release. Maybe that's what's happening?

    It's a shame that a pistol released in 2023 uses a non-standard screw pitch. And the plastic firing pin block/plunger is annoying -- it definitely makes the trigger gritty. And the muzzle thread dimensions are non-standard by a massive amount, which will make some suppressors risky to use. I love the gun, but it really needed an engineering second pass.

Yes, what I would recommend is that even if you don't use a gas pedal/thumb rest, get the RHT hoster as if your gun does have one--especially if you have huge hands like me. I like that it moves the gun further away form the belt, so I can get my hand in there quicker on the draw.

    Not being American I can say that Dillon XL 750 is really crap and an extreme disappointment. It is not Dillon Precision but Dillon Approximation. Dillon's big problem is the manufacturing quality: poorly machined parts, crooked frames, Tools heads that are not aligned with the platform, shellplates that are too narrow etc. Read the forums, you will see that I am far from being the only one, problems are legion, but American users who are chauvinistic and proud of their brands will never be objective as I am. I fought two months with Dillon for alignment problems, with send videos, exchanging parts, not to mention the three weeks it takes to receive a part from the USA, finally having to send the entire press back to the factory to detect a faulty platform when they have been leading me on all this time, taking me for an idiot. On the way back it was better but alignment problem not resolved, and which never will be. In short, my patience having its limits, I sold this pile of scrap metal and it was a great relief. I'm going to go back to a good old Lee press, certainly less pretty and less pretentious, but much less expensive and above all, which works. Dillon: Never again.

    • @docgsreloading7985
      @docgsreloading7985 Месяц назад

      Thanks for watching. Geez, I'm so sorry to hear you had such a bad experience with Dillon. That has never been my experience as they have always been helpful and stood by their products. That's also been the case for everyone I know in the shooting sports who uses a Dillon XL750 or 1050 to reload handgun and rifle ammo. I can comfortably keep up a pace of 1,600-1,800 rounds per hour and rarely have problems that cause me to stop. My 9mm reloads are so consistent that my extreme spread between velocities during chrono at a major event is less than 10 fps. I can't speak for Lee equipment, as I have never used their progressive press and everyone else I know uses Dillon or Hornady. I do have the Lee 50BMG single stage press, and that did break on me once. According to USPSA magazine, of those competitors that reload, the vast majority of them use Dillon equipment, but I'm glad you've found a good product with the Lee, they are a good brand.

    why not shows us the 1,000 yard grouping with the same scope dude, love to see that? Also i have shot f class with 308 and also 5.56 at 1,000 yards and also 1,100 yards and i do not own a weapon or a gun licence and i only knew about the f class practice shoot, when i was invited to a practice, thinking it was hunting rifles and they were practicing etc, got there and was blown away with the accuracy, did shot the au slr or a1l1 308 at 400 meters when i was in the cadets at the age of 14 ,which was over 40 years ago, thats how long it has been that i shot a weapon at all, but my first day score was 38/50 for the 308 at 1,000 yards and then the 5.56 was 48/50 at 1,100 yards. So i think anyone can shoot accurately if the weapon is blue printed and balanced and trued up and your right you do not need a massive powerful scope for 1,000 yards in fact the more you zoom in the less detail of the target you see, in the middle is about the best and on hot days you can see the wind by the mirague which way its blowing and how fast, cheers 🦘🦘👌👌✌✌

      Thanks for watching and your question! Yes, that's an optical counter from Armanov. I just checked their website and can't find it. You might want to email them and see if they still make it. I love mine, it also keeps a total cumulative count as well as a breakdown by caliber of what I've loaded. You do need to leave it on all the time, but that's not a big deal. Check out their website: www.armanov.com/ Also, Uniquetek makes one, but it's a magnetic plunger that requires you to modify your crimping die (if it's a Lee brand) and it has no where near the complexity of the Armanov. Here's the Uniquetek version: uniquetek.com/shop/ols/products/loaded-round-counter

      @@marku123 Very Cool, thanks for that info! I may get their new one if it has a battery back-up. What I really like about it is that as you go, it'll give you a "rounds per hour" reading and I can comfortably get to 1,600-1,700 per hour rate. Now that doesn't count when you have to stop to reload primers, etc, but it gives you an idea at least as to how fast you're going. Plus, the total overall rounds reloaded and the breakdown per caliber is nice.

I have their single stage press, and the press is so smooth, that I still use it just for seating rifle bullets because it gives me great feedback and I can feel the neck tension as the bullet seats. I can seat bullets up to 338 Lapua Magnum.

    Just remember everyone, if you match the government in their fire arms and can stand head to head with them. They are very scared, they want complete control over everything you do and have. Any way they can slow you down, they will do it just to make it frustrating for anyone to stand head to head with them.

    this product doesnt work well unless it is clamped down, i sold mine the day i bought it, it workeed but it needs more weight to take up the vibration, its def better then the dillon, but in all honestly u can use a hand held one and and load more primers faster then automated ones

      Thanks for watching! Huh, well I clamped mine down because it's on the edge of the bench and right behind me, so I didn't want to bump it and watch it crash to the floor. I'll tell you though, it's worked perfectly and after going to a frequency of 97.4 it takes less than a minute to fill all 104 (I add an extra 4) into a tube. I've filled 5,000 primers and I've had 3 upside down. Plus, once 1 of the primers was dented (and needed to be discarded) and it got stuck trying to enter the top of the feeding system (that red piece of aluminum that guides the primers into the spring) so that saved me a huge headache, since that defective primer would have most likely gotten stuck in my press and/or for sure not seated in a case.

    I have a question in regards to looping the cases before sizing. After the sizing operation is complete, you are not cleaning the oil or lube from the cases. After Reloading, you are putting those bullets with the lubed case into the chamber of your firearm. I can only imagine what bad things could happen with a slippery case upon firing.

      Thanks for watching and great question! No, I do not leave the lube on. What I do is after loading 1,000 rounds, I put them on a large old beach towel and leveled to just 1 layer thick so they're not stacked on each other, and spray them with Invisible Glass glass cleaner. I let it sit for a couple of minutes, then put another smaller towel over them and rub them all clean. I repeat this several times, and since the Hornady spray lube is the best on the market, it comes off easily after it has done its job fantastically. Then I sit down and gauge them all 100 rounds at a time. And after shooting 20,000 rounds, I've never had a problem at all.
