Thanks man. Saved me in the beginning. The way the caliper comes off had me confused for a sec.

There are actually torque specs for the retainer pins and they should always be removed, cleaned and re-lubricated before reinstalling when performing this procedure. The piston cup edge and where the outer pad touches the caliper housing should also be cleaned and lubricated w/ the proper lubricant which should have came w/ the pads. The calapier mounting bracket where the ears/tabs on the brake pads ride should also be cleaned and lubricated before assym. Finally the wheel lug nuts should be torqued to 150 foot pounds when reinstalling the tires………. There is a torque spec for every bolt on every vehicle, you can find them on the internet.

It's a "tutorial" modify as needed if you have better ideas, make a better video and copy link into comments. Full video though, no cut and paste shit. See if you can do in 15 min or less on the spot.

Torque specs are 150 ftlbs. You did maybe 20. That wheel will fall off. There are so many things wrong here, too many to count.

For anyone replacing the rotors as well, once the caliper is out of the way you can also remove rotors. Might have to hit with hammer to break them free, but no need to remove the caliper bracket.

You really should try not to touch the face of the brake pads. Dirt and grease from your gloves are not good for the brakes.

I just got a 2015 limited expedition and when i reverse it out the garage some times it rolls back n my break peddle sinks for like 3secons. I have to step on it a few times quick so it can stop. Could it be the (abs) getn thrown off by my little bump on my garage? It would do it the 1st time i get it out the garage but later on the day it will never do it again. Anyone having this issue?
