How to Add Hydraulic Fluid to a Log Splitter - Champion Log Splitter Hydraulic Oil
Saw a video of you blowing and I agree with previous comments- you really don't know what your doing. Operater error for sure! Get some instruction from someone who can teach you. Understanding the machine will allow you to do everything you need it to do!
I watched a couple of your videos you have the wrong john deere tractor and snowblower first off buy good spray for snow and ice , second the videos ive seen you do you have a lot of wet snow, tough terrain so you need at least john deere x738 im pretty sure that is the start of the 4 wheel drive tractors then you need the quick connect 47” blower unfortunately they don’t have tilt chute unless you buy the hydraulic chute tilt ,third function that gets expensive it cost me 1500$$$ for it just to tilt the chute up and down i have the 54” blower on the 2025r you need the right machine for your place. Unfortunately its expensive.
When you're backing up, lift your snowthrower.
Get electric lift for the blower. Then you can use down pressure and blow down to the grass. I live in snow country and with down pressure your blower wont push up to the top of fhe snow. Multiple passes to get down so your rear wheels have traction.
The manual for this machine says: "Check the hydraulic oil level using the oil sight glass. Oil level should be centered on the glass sight." It shouldn't be filled the whole way, only half way like the manual says. Hydraulic oil expands and becomes less dense when it gets hotter during use.
Don't put your bar in the dirt it will make it though and don't cut with a doll chain😂
How tight should I make the oil cap when putting it back on?
Not into the dirt! Get it up on something that allows it to fall and not pinch
I hate this plastic crap . Why can't they just bolt things together ?
Well done video. I learned a lot.
FYI: there should be a release rod to pull to get the transmission to "free wheel" instead of dragging the tractor with the wheels locked. I assume it's not great on the transmission.
Tryed it twoyears in a row killed most of my pepper plants leaves dryed up from the soap dawn and that was the end of my aphid problems
Why do they go blow snow in th middle of nowhere?
Lol cause we live in the middle.of nowhere!
The blades got bent on mine after just one session in my front yard. Guess it's best on super soft soil or mulch.
Really? I've hit hocks a ton of times and never bent it!!!!
I was expecting to see a lot of mansplaining in the comments and I was not wrong. I'm just happy to see people trying to get the business done. Keep doing what you're doing and next thing you know, you'll be experts!
Thanks for the words of encouragement!!!!!
I had this setup. If your snow is slightly moist or wet ish it is a waste of time. I had weights and chains. It wouldn't even move itself with the blower raised. It was an absolute piece of crap and useless. Same thing two years in a row. It's gone!!!!
That is a cool tool. Gardening does wear out your back and knees. Good find. Glad your making more videos. You two crack me up❣️❣️
We are certainly trying to get some more videos out there. Sometimes life is just so busy it gets hard and I have some more already filmed I just need to sit down and edit them. But thanks for the vote of confidence. What crazy stuff will you be up to next?
Darn rabbits 🐇
Yum!
Ugh..... I hate weeds!!!!!
Ditto
Looks like a great tool!
Thanks so much!!!!!
If you needed to blow that field then you should of started when it was 8 inches deep lol You girls need a bobcat or a front end loader for that much snow
I know!!!!! We are looking to upgrade!!!!
Muchas Gracias, Amiga.... Me gusto Tu video... Muy Bueno... Hasta Luego !!!!
You're welcome 😊
A right proper review. Thank you. Note: there are two different engine sizes for this model and two different cycle times.
Oh delightful! I did not know that!!!!
Thanks for the demo and the video. I have been debating about getting an electric chainsaw and which one. I think you helped me to decide to go with the Skil PWR 40 with the 6.0 battery. Thank you again for the demo/video.
I hope it works great for you!!!!!
Unbelievable!
Don’t put blacktop thru your auger!
I can't watch this, it is too painful. Two women blowing snow when they should be in the kitchen pregnant. Art from Ohio
It's like a driver's license, it gives it to anyone, it's a good way to get to the emergency room.
I’ve never had any issues with mine. I have x390 with score blower and chains. I don’t have any rear tractor weights. The key is taking small bites. I’ve cleared three foot deep snow with mine. Always keep your rear tires on the ground. Don’t shove into the snow deep enough that your rear tires are in the snow. For deep snow, have blower raised as high as it goes. Push in until rear tires touch the uncleared snow. You might feel the tractor start to drive up onto the snow. That’s ok just as long as you don’t get the rear tires in. You’ll have to back up and go in again. Continue until your blower is lowered all the way then when you can’t push in anymore raise the blower back up and start again. It will take a long time for deep snow. As you’re making your way through, cut at a slight angle left or right then when you go back in go at slight angle the opposite way. This will make a path wider than your tractor. If you only go straight, you risk snow falling back in behind you as you go which will increase your risk of getting stuck while backing up. I usually try to make my cuts double the width of my blower. I have 48” blower so I try to cut twice that or more if I’m trying to make an area to turn around. If you have a hard packed area, it’s ok to drive on if it’s not too deep. You may find driving on the hard pack, your tire chains can start to break up the hard pack. If you notice this, back up and clear what you can of the broken hard pack. If it’s not too deep you can just keep going and go back after with final clean up clearing anything left over. I had an unfortunate event when the plow going down the road decided to shove all the snow into our driveway to our workshop. Our workshop is on an alleyway usually they keep plowing the snow until it’s the end of the alley and make big piles in the corn field. Not sure why they deliberately plowed it into our driveway blocking the door to our workshop. I’m just glad I had my blower in our workshop that day. I was able to open the shop door and blow snow out and away from the shop. It took me a very long time to clear all that out. The snow was well over the height of the blower chute. With the small bites and lots of patience I got it cleared out. I have never had a belt slip or break on me. Oh, one more quick tip. Watch your throttle gauge. Keep your throttle full and keep it in the green range. If you hear or see the power level start to dip out of the green, stop pushing in and let the blower catch up. You may need to back up to clear the blower box. I also find that picking the blower up and down on solid ground a few times can help clear out the blower. Ok I lied one more tip. If you keep your tractor blower setup in a heated garage, your blower box will be warm and snow will stick to it. You’ll need to get the blower box cold before using it to clear snow. Some people spray cooking spray inside the blower box and chute. I have never tried it, but some people say it works. Happy plowing next season.
I think I see where the problem is. I don’t see where the man is in this video

Hey we can make a batch when you guys come up. Illeven let him wallop the meat!!!!
Flatheads all day.
I dont think the tank can get pressurized it has a vent true.
I've had it leak when not tightened and can say with a certainty that it can get pressurized, especially if it's overfilled!
@@40acresofcluelessyou rely have no idea what your talking about. Like a lot of u tube
What did you do to fix it? I’m still an idiot
Very helpful video
I THOUGHT you lived in Canada or close to it; because of your accent. I think accents are neat! And yours gives you away.
Yep originally from Ontario!!!!
Somebody's fallen down the SKIL 40v rabbit hole 😂
Thanks for the video! I will try your method👍😎
Good luck 👍
Did you did your own well?
Yes mature well digging!!!
WOW...why did you wait for a year???baking soda and vinegar....
Really? I've still got it. I'll try it!
How about pozidrive?
This saw cuts good, but mine came with a bad battery that didn't even last a year and with only a few cuts. Up until that happened I would give the saw an ok rating, but if I had it to do over, I would not buy this saw.
That's too bad 👎
this is why i don't buy used equipment...nice machine abused by idiots...dragging it backwards without disengaging the drive release...unaware of diff lock...
Yeah we don't but used stuff either!
I myself didn’t realize I needed eye protection
Merci,😉 très simple
You're 🙏 🤗
Put your chains on!!
Chains are on
Just got the exact one and it takes 10-15 pulls to start. I’m tired out before I start splitting. Can anyone Help?
I'll the cord slightly before yanking on it. Also between uses make sure the fuel pump is turn. Off r it's really hard to start up again!!!
I’ve been using this Skil chainsaw for several months now, but I don’t reach for it as often as I’d like because with every 3 to 4 cuts (small oak logs), the chain loosens up so much and also it gets pinched halfway thru the cut a lot. I have to remove the cover, manually tighten it and then start again. Any idea why the chain loosens constantly and does yours do the same thing? The orange tension adjuster on the chain cover is basically useless…Your channel is the best info I can find on this model. Thank you if you have time/info to reply.
Because it's a 40volt saw the power isn't there like a gas chainsaw for big logs so yes it does pinch more than a gas saw which also loosens the chain. When cutting if it feels like it is going to pinch stop and hammer a wedge in quick to take some pressure off then start it up again.
That’s quite a nice crop you got there!
Thank you very much! I love growing veggies!
