Patina On A Mora Robust - Fail!!
Просмотров 9 тыс.9 лет назад
I followed the steps carefully and ended up with basicly a ruined knife. couldnt get the edge to the ridicules mora edge, and the overall look was not great. now i know that the main point of a patina is for rust prevention but with the blade dull i dont think it was worth it. THINK TWICE BEFORE YOU TRY THIS!

How To Equalize Anchors For Rappelling
Просмотров 4,4 тыс.9 лет назад
How to equalize two and three anchor points for rappeling. At a V-angle of 30 degrees, each of the two anchors bear a force of about 52% of the original load. At 45 degrees, each anchor bears about 54% of the load. At 60 degrees, each anchor bears about 58% of the load. At 90 degrees, each anchor bears about 71% of the load. At 120 degrees, each anchor bears a force equivalent to 100% of the or...

How to tie a bowline and other variations of the bowline
I sense a disturbance in the field. This is doubtless because there are 2 versions of the Robust. 1) Robust Classic, oldest, the one you see here; 2 ) Robust HD, newer, has the finger guards and a shorter blade. Mora doesn't put the name identifying the model on the blades. Hence confusion. I think the one with the grey handle is cooler. Cheaper too.
Finally someone actually uses the strands in the paracord! 99% just talk about using them.
video starts at the end
Hello, the companion HD is a longer blade than the Robusto. If u get ur hands on either, grab them up. Wonderful med size blade for all activities.
That Robust model is discontinued and is replaced with the Pro Robust.
Thanks for this
obviously, you have no idea what you are talking about ... there is no Mora Robust in this video LOL....
If you have oil or residue on some parts of the blade the result becomes spotty.
Lol it is not Mora Robust 🤦
Wish ud come back my friend
What is the tang length
you are blind as a bat brotha lol
Leave it in there wife there off with alcohol and when you put it in don't the blade hit the glass put a clamp on it to keep it off the bottom I left mind in for a couple hrs it don't hurt it
The companion is longer at least it’s supposed to be
Which one has a thicker blade ?
Those are two CHD knives. The robust has a more prominent index finger protector and blade is 1.1 cm shorter than the CHD.
You really have no clue.
I don't think you mentioned the capacity size of that pot? 1.1 or 1.6L?
1.1
Awesome!
You can reserve your tannin water to wash your hands and body. It's natural body wash- antimicrobial and good for your skin.
Best pot ever ! Toda raba
HIGHLY DANGEROUS! We should use this material and all what he said as "How to kill yourself". You can tell his skill level by looking at those leg loops on his harness.
Is it carbon steel ?
Robust yes companion u can get in bouth
Your gray knife is not Mora Robust. Robust features 89mm blase vs 100mm on Companion, has completely other handle and sheath. www.lamnia.com/en/p/10081/knives/morakniv-robust-knife So you are comparing same knives. The only reason is handle color, it might be some limited run for particular distributor or business (for painters for instance).
The gray knife was sold as a HighQ Robust. Search Mora robust classic or HighQ Robust, it was the robust before the new one.
שלום! Leatherman knows that these blackened tools will sell 99% to non-military civilians. I think our guys in IDF like Waves, maybe Surge in armoured battalions. But Rebar is excellent--I own two, in black and regular. תודה ולהצלחה!
The companion has a 3/4 tang. The robust's tang is shorter making it not as strong.
What about the kind if steel ?? Both have Carbon steel, but I think Companion heavy duty has a special steel ....
I’m not sure, especially since this video is older and that means new models may have replaced old ones but with new names... that is not a mora Robust. It is a Companion HD. The giveaway is the handles. The Robust (at least the newest one) handle has a much more pronounced guard. The companion is more streamlined like we see here on both knives. Also, baton with them all you want. You can’t tell me it’s not made to handle it. The heavy duty moras test really well on tests designed to intentionally damage them, and, they’re cheap. Would you rather spend $60 on a beefier knife and then whack it off things and risk breaking it, or would you rather do that with the cheap, $20 knife with the plastic handle that doesn’t look pretty (they’re not ugly, but they are very utilitarian, let’s face it)? I know what i would use. The one that’s easier to afford to replace. Although I would still stick to the robust. Better to be a bit on the safe side.
The gray knife was sold as a HighQ Robust. Search Mora robust classic or HighQ Robust, it was the robust before the new one.
I got all the models, 1 companion hd, 2 hq robust, 1 craftline pro robust, all carbon steel, all unused. Today I just ordered the the companion hd stainless orange.
Alcohol to clean it ripe lemon 🍋,balsamic vinegar and mustard for the pattern you like and use your imagination..I call mine Blue Jupiter...
UPDATE I kept watching...this is so unsafe I'm tempted to report it. You're gonna get someone killed. The list of massive errors is too long to list. Horrifying...I wouldn't belay my worst enemy from that crime scene
They are slings not straps. Prusiks are autoblock knots. What you are holding is accessory cord used to tie prusiks. Maybe you should learn the basics before you teach people how to get killed with false information. Get trained before you give lessons. Thanks. And one last thing...kN is not a static load unit. Put on your helmets kids this guy is gonna fall and make a dent
The rebar is a great EDC tools had mines for about a 6 months love the Multi tool 👍
You should have cleaned the grease off the knife first. You wiped it a bit, then stuck your fingers on it again. Use rubber gloves and alcohol.
you are not the only one that has said supertool 300 “overkill”.im glad i got a Rebar
Stupid explanation....
Nobody noticed that when he was talking about the sheath retention being weak, the blade was backwards lmao
Scandi grind needs wet-stones not a Lansky... use that wicked sharpener on your Hollow and Flat grinds Bro.
This is no Robust. Robust looks entirely Different.
This is the old style the new one changed
They are both different in thickness and length, how are they identical?
Yours is a Craftline Pro, not a Robust.
Me ha gustado mucho tu vídeo, estamos en el mismo equipo. Saludos desde España
That sharpener is meant for 22.5 per side, so 45 degrees in total, when the Moras have 23 or 27 per total. You can use it free hand, but no passing trough, unless absolutely necessary. Anyway, nice comparison though.
Didn't think about the smell factor, I couldn't smell it but my whole family was mad at me 🙂
Hey dude. Do you think regular drills ie non hammer would work on limestone l. Also which model is that which you re using ? And how many holes can you drill with one charge ?
Good luck with a regular drill, you'll likely wear out your bit and your arms in 2 holes tops. Hammering action of the rotary hammers is what makes actually breaking up the rock as you drill. you'd be better off hand drilling than trying to use a simple electric drill. all the other questions he answered.
@@ianf6270 thanks for the feedback brother
The blades are different: morakniv.se/en/product/robust/ has a blade length of 91 mm morakniv.se/en/product/companion-heavy-duty/ has a blade length of 104 mm
how many 12mm hole can you drill per battery?
Dude! Why no more videos ? Great channel you had going.
Definitely didn't know what the hell he was doing!
Fuck
Forgot about this video Shimon! Good times!
A trick that I've seen other RUclipsrs(HighCarbonSteel Love) do is to line the pot with a handkerchief. The items that pack into the pot, can then be lifted out in one gathered bundle. And you then have that cotton cloth for other purposes.
