Awesome video!! Y’all stay safe!! By the way, Sooner State Fire Photography got great video of you doing roof ventilation on a house fire back in March!!
Damn
This is great. I went to pull up a video of what brush fires are like to show a coworker, and I see myself in your video. What are the odds? @1:29 Cheers from Ingalls.
Keep up the great work! Are you a lieutenant or captain by the way?!
Great job my station isn't to far
Stay safe brother From north dakota
Never forget, great vid 😢❤
Excelent vid!!
Nice Training Boys!👍 to get an fire.
Im a vol firefighter and that was dumb on y’all’s part street tires are a no for brush trucks for this very reason
That there Tanker 5 has served Silver City well, on its first call!
Kudos! To one of the best grass attacks by a volunteer department i've seen in a long time.
Except for my department a couple times training and the song firing goes off what we had two engines.. and the station on the other side of the township is rolling too so no biggie. The one was interesting we had recall one of our major fundraisers of the year.. and then we had it was four fire departments in 3 municipalities and we went together and had a big carnival we all belong in the same school district we set up teams you know guys from your department were signed to the fire duty that night..
Hope u get a chance to due a station truck review
How many water you have on this truck.
What GoPro do you use
That black and yellow uniform at 1.28 looks akin to the old CFA structural uniforms in Australia.
💪💓
What does it take to be a volunteer fire fighter in drumright?
You must be at least 18 years old, pass a physical fitness test and complete at least the level of Fire Fighter 1 within 1 year. EMR or EMT is encouraged.
Would they hire felons
I've always drove past on highway 33 to get to tulsa and I've seen that first bays door open once and that kinda hides the number of trucks you have in that first bay. 😂😂 cue corny joke "it's bigger on the inside" 😂😂😂
keep up the good work 🤍
Cool to see another post!
I hate when the tones drop for a big one in our district and we’re in the middle of hose training. stations tend to brag about making first on a fire in someone else’s territory
Nice ride along. We’re just getting into the season up here in South Dakota.
How does that work? Having a dozer for a volunteer Fire Dept? What are the SOG's for it? I know OFS has dozers, why didn't they respond? Although the fire didn't seem one bit intimidating I just never have seen a dozer on a VFD. As a Wildland FF & Dozer Operator for the state of Arkansas and having spent time on a paid career FD this is much different than I have ever seen. Are yall restricted to what you can unload it on? etc
I came from small town in Iowa wair we have volunteers fire department that works out of wun fire station
Great job
Not fully envolved upon arrival
It’s been a while Martin, hope your stayin safe out there brother, looks like a nice job you caught here, we’ve had some nice fires down here in Texas recently.
Please keep the great videos coming. I'm a new Probie on the VFD in my hometown (4 months on the dept. now) and enjoy the education intent of the videos. I am the newest addition to the extremely long line of volunteer firefighters in my family. I absolutely love the job
More dozer videos please 😎
Never did like abandoned building fires, you never know what was left inside the structure. Here in upstate NY in the Adirondack region we have old barns, cabins, and houses that have been left for years and there is no telling what was left inside. Had a few abandon barns and garages we went to that had 55 gallon barrels of used oil, stacks of greasy rags, and old farm equipment. Just goes to show that you never know what to expect when you arrive.
Pretty much the same story here in Vermont. All sorts of old abandoned things way the fuck out in the middle of nowhere in the woods where you would never know it was at
I’m sorry but that was pathetic. #1 that is Not fully involved, #2 how do you know there’s no one in there? Ever heard of a squatter? Homeless people will shack up ANYWHERE. #3 you guys flashed that joint all by yourselves. If you had half a pair of nuts to go interior and out the fire out, you wouldn’t have had that problem. I realize that it didn’t really matter here, because you already wrote off any possible occupants. But I hope you don’t set up a fan that early on all of your fires. Please go get some training.
Thanks for watching Mike. Indeed the fan was set up too early, and that is the point of the video share. Side entry was not possible due to roof compromise. There is always a remote chance of squatter but we would not initiate an aggressive search with no such information on a well know abandoned structure. As far as 'nuts' go, we will risk a lot to save a lot, and risk little to save little. This can change during any response to any scene.
Don't gotta be so rude about things bud
Right on 2 of them
@@chrisbatten2432 and which one isn’t right?
@@Firefighter125 you should really treat every structure as occupied until YOU have proven otherwise. You owe that to the public you serve
How did you know it was abandoned?
It has been on our list of unoccupied houses for a long time. We all live in the area and are familiar with it. The call came from a neighbor and not an occupant. There is always the remote possibility of someone staying in there illegally, but it would have been uninhabitable to human life with those conditions found upon our arrival.
Excellent video
Stay safe
Nice job. Our brush fire season has just begun and they are saying we are going to be in a drought in most of the northwest so might be a fun year. Our last structure fire started a grass fire.
Thanks bro. Where are you located?
@@Firefighter125 I'm in a small town, Milton-freewater, Oregon on the Washington border.
Great upload! Has it been a slow year so far in drum right? Do you think y’all will have a bad brush season?
Thank you. We've had alot of car wrecks this year. Lower fires, maybe. Who knows about brush season! It will all depend if the wind comes at us and the humidity is low. It's been raining forever here, lately.
@@Firefighter125 it’s been a slow season down here in Texas, we’ve had a lot of rain so most of our brush fires were before all the rain or during a structure fire turned brush.
Great job dad!!!
Thanks ❤️
You must be in better shape than I am running back-to-back air tanks while you're throwing stuff around and running a hose is no easy task
I can go 2 tanks if I’m not too hot. It was a cool, wet morning and I was well rested. 90 degree day that’s not happening.
@@Firefighter125 I have a bad habit of pushing myself as hard as I possibly can physically and as you know wearing all the gear and a tank you won't last long good job stay safe
@@Firefighter125 there’s been more than one occasion the chief has had to make you rehab.
Bad call by the chief (me) to call for PPV. I’m normally not a fan of the fan, this one reiterated why. Also, if the fan is to be used it should at a minimum cover the top part of the door where the smoke is coming from. The bottom portion of the door has already had cool air smoke entrainment. By putting air in the bottom portion, you add to the smoke entrainment and flashover develops quickly as seen here.
@@brettlunsford157 shit happens. The important thing is learning from what doesn't go well, and putting that lesson to use in future incidents
Been there before
yep...even when the group is getting ready to eat lunct at the table. Or, even after she just got out of the shower and changed out of her uniform to go home
What the hell are yall doing ? Dozers are for making lanes, then light a controlled backfire to take away fuel, not for goofing around for 25 minutes on a dead tree...
Whip lines are now long enough...
As windy as it's been you guys got lucky I was in Pawnee over the weekend we had four fires while I was gone two of them large enough to have four districts at one burnt 3 miles while I was down there I watched the goes app to see if there's any heat signatures around and was thinking of you guys stay safe
Stay safe
love the videos!
Awesome video. Not a bad little fire. What’s the specs on BP-9’s tank/pump ect

Thank you, Bro!
