A screen capture recording of Carl Zeiss Zen imaging software capability for automated sample identification and imaging. A whole mouse brain section was placed on the microscope stage, and a single button push initiates a low magnification preview image acquisition with a camera, followed by identification of the imaging location and high resolution confocal imaging. The confocal imaging porti...

Join us for a guided exploration of Zen Blue imaging software from Zeiss. Focus will be on capabilities available in the free Zen Lite software with some discussion of key features from the 90-day-trial. Topics will include; creating multi-image figures easily, using annotations and measurements, measuring dynamics with Kymograph, fluorescence intensity measurements, 3D rendering and animation,...

I really enjoyed this, I shall get my stereomicroscope out and go hunting.
Do you know how to get the acquisition tab? I don't have it.
water bear !! so lovely !
Vielen Dank!!!
Hello Sir, I wanna know about the process to change the scale unit from pixel to micrometer. I tried to change it from scaling tools, but unfortunately, unable to do it. Please advice.
Can you make a video on how to download and install zen blue latest version on windows 10
0:46:40 Orthogonal projection
how to fiddle with the threshold setting? because my image has signals more at the lower end of brightness
how to export intensity profile from zen blue?
Interesting. I wonder if it's possible to stack images to compose them later with software (such as Zerene Stacker or similar). We don't have a motorized microscope, so each stack should be taken it manually. Any recommendation?
Thanks a lot, very helpfull and straight forward:)
@ThePerfectPSF what microscope do you use? I operate a 710 but I'm not sure if an automatic setup like you performed can be setup on Zen Black. We also have Zen Blue but from what I understand Zen Blue is more for image processing than acquisition (barring the 800 series LSM scopes which uses Zen Blue 2.1). Any advice?
You have link for download zen blue lite 2012?
excellent instructions ! thanks ! 🔬💙
Awesome! Thanks!!
thanks !
excellent talk !!!
Thanks for the great video. Could you tell me what the box* on the bottom right is called? I used that in my experiments to adjust the brightness (I think) of my images so colocalization of fluorescent signals would be more obvious. I'm trying to write in my paper that I altered the images in that way, but I don't know really know how to say it. *The box on the bottom right with lines for each fluorescent signal which you can slide right/left, up/down
I believe you are referring to the Histogram.
free RAM: 60GB, free HD: 3.25TB ?????
Thanks for the informative video. It would be great if you can upload one on acquiring airyscan images
This may seem like a trivial question but does anyone else have counting problems with the lite version of the software? Im using it to count muscle fibers and myonuclei. it counts the fibers fine but when i start counting the myonuclei i have to zoom in and out and and play with the exposure settings, and it seems to disrupt the counting. the x stills stays in place but the numbers dont get recorded in the table and it starts multiple events without me changing anything
Do you have a tutorial on how to obtain an Airyscan? How do I access your other tutorials?
Good video, but you didn't show how to process and apply the Z stack data, which I would think is paramount to viewing the full Z stack.
very helpful, thanks!
Great videos. Is there one for Apotome?
It was awesome! If you have other tutorial videos for Zen blue, I would be grateful if you send me the link.
Anyone know a way to determine intracellular calcium using Fluo-4 AM with this software. I used another program and microscopy where I learnt this technique, but my lab have the LSM 700 confocal.
is there an video for the image analysis module in ZEN blue
Thank you for your videos , I watched the 3 of them. Hope you can make more videos regarding with live cell imaging and focus and how to avoid bleacking and out of focus problems in long-term acquisition or multiples positions
Excellent work! thank you.
Anyone know if any basic tutorials for Zen Lite are available anywhere? Thanks.
Great tutorial, thank you.
Thanks, great Job! This is really easy to understand and concise at the same time. I also like the comment (and yellow comment box) around 21:00 a lot, as it adds that the files created by ZEN can be opened in a variety of other packages (if needed). I´m looking forward to part II and maybe more upcoming stuff.
What cameras are compatible with Zen Blue ?
Very useful. Thank you very much :)
want to know if a tutorial for zen Grey has been there or not
lostinsearching Currently there are two versions of ZEN. ZEN blue runs most camera based systems, and ZEN black runs most laser scanning confocal systems (exception of LSM 800). I have not done a tutorial for ZEN black, and do not intend to do so, sorry. Just enough time to try and get out these for ZEN blue.
Hi, thank you for this - another informative and useful tutorial, which sets a good pace to follow.
This was very informative and useful - thank you! I would personally love to see a tutorial detailing how to use the processing functions within the Zen software - what each function can be used for etc. Many thanks!
Thanks Imc674. I have just shared a z-stack tutorial, and will be moving onto time lapse and then tiling. I will keep in mind the request for processing, and I agree it should certainly be on the short list of tutorials to produce.
