You know I haven’t really noticed any grain except when I had the settings page open on windows and it causes a weird gradient of shades of gray. Otherwise everything else looks great, no issues.

I think you should still have your different configuration but honesty I’m not sure. I only use the basic configs.

Horrible. Had a 4090 model and returned it for that particular reason. There are tons of online forums complaining about the same thing for 2024 models. You may want to read those if you are planning to buy this laptop.

In my experience it’s great. I don’t typically get above 80C on GPU while gaming heavy games. I don’t use turbo mode and just use balanced. Fan noise is acceptable, silent is non-existent, balanced you can def hear it going, turbo is very loud. The top part of the laptop does get hot but there’s no reason to touch there. The other person saying his 4090 got hot makes sense because that GPU requires a lot of power and generates more heat, especially in such a slim laptop

4090 makes heat like a furnace. I’m surprised they were able to put it in such a thin laptop. Which one did you end up getting?

@@gsidhu211 understandable i just cant seem to find another no compromise laptop, razer is there, but they have bad service, lenovo yoga seems great but no gsync on the screen, which i need cuz i play fps, and we dont have the glossy screen available where i am, g16 seems like the only one, with a price that isnt horrible where i am

Yeah you def can add more RAM but what I read the A16 can only utilize up to 32 gb. Lmk if adding 48 gb works too. Oh yes, it’s a fingerprint magnet. I usually keep a microfiber cloth around. I can’t stand prints on the screen so I try my best to keep it spotless. Have you installed g-helper? How are your temps so far?

Hi, you can go to settings in armory crate and then under control mode click configure, and then gamepad mode click configure again, and there will be an option for vibration there. In the video you can skip to 01:30 to check it out. Some games have built the vibration adjustment into settings so if there's a specific game you dont want to use it in.

Thats awesome. I think the legion is a mini-powerhouse. It had its issues in the beginning but thats with everything new.

Not specifically, I think best performance will be based off the game youre running and whatever settings you have. But you can mess with the settings like RIS, Anti Lag, Radeon Boost, RSR and see how your fps performs. Personally I just start off with the highest settings and then decrease them until I get minimum 60 fps.

Yep, wish they made the screen bigger to decrease the bezel size.

It's not a tutorial, he's not giving step by step instructions to create or run anything on the device it's literally an unboxing video. If you're that jealous that someone can afford it but you can't then maybe work on yourself and improving your attitude so you can be in a position to afford things in life. Or you know stay resentful and at the bottom up to you.

@@RPGHaviq small things here and there. For example the comparison of battery capacity is incorrectly mentioned as a 50% increase instead of 100%. When a the review/first-impressions video is brief, it is my opinion that you should look to be very accurate and highlight the difference when comparing it to the OG ally. Perhaps you didn’t want to make it too technical but i reckon people will be interested to know more about the QoL improvements like the joysticks, subtle changes in placement of gamepad controls and so on. My point is that you have good standards for how you produce your content so when I watched the video, the actual commentary seemed to pale by comparison and was a little too basic and superficial. I hope this is somewhat insightful and you can consider these aspects for your future content. Best

the 1TB OLED has the anti glare screen which is "matte". The 500 gb has the glossy display.

I havent had any issues with using it to charge and game at the same time on both docks.

Surprisingly my temps are not high at all. But I did watch a video to limit how high the temps got. But I barely ever get over 80-85 unless im running a super graphic intensive game. It also depends on what cooling system you have in place.

Have you tried different steam community controllers/button settings to see if that works?

No I haven’t run into that issue. It’s been working fine on my end.

Revert them. This video was made when the legion first came out. There’s been a bunch of new drivers since then.

After you set your key bindings they should automatically apply next time so it won’t require you to do it over and over. You can just pick up and play.

check your mirroring settings for the monitor and steam deck. If it's mirrored then that might be the issue.

I think there’s a way where you have to leave your PC settings to allow remote access from when you’re away from home. I haven’t done it personally so I can’t speak to how well it works.

You have to go to the deck settings and try different output settings for the monitor. I had to go through a few until I found one that works decently.
