BEAVER BRATS {Catch * Clean * Cook}
It's a gorgeous Spring afternoon in Colorado. Alison had just harvested a Merriam Gobbler earlier in the day, so we decided to keep our luck going! We met up with our friend, JJ, in the hopes of harvesting some nice beaver, in order to make some delicious Beaver Brats. Come along and see what an amazing evening it turned out to be. We had some unexpected spectators which added to the excitement. And, the Bratwurst was absolutely delicious to boot!!!!

    Not sure what goose breast's your cooking but I tried this with Canada geese and it was like a 2x4. Didn't pull at all. 8 hours slow cooked. Checkered it a 6 hours and knew it wasnt going to work.

    • @CatchNDinner
      @CatchNDinner День назад

      It will work, I promise!! If you check after 8 hours and it doesn’t pull easily, keep going… could take up to 12 hours, especially if it’s an older goose. Try again and leave it go longer if necessary. You won’t be disappointed!!!

    Thats how ive always field dressed any kind of grouse. Around here its mostly spruce grouse and ruffed grouse. Spruce grouse are usually bigger, but the ruffed grouse taste a little better. I liked your video about how to do this and included the fact that the bird needs to be warm still. When you started cooking it looked really good until you sprayed that pam all over it. Ya lost me there but otherwise it look good, great video. I'll sub.👍

CVA now makes breach plugs for the Blackhorn powder but only for newer models. I might have to have my old breach plug machined so it works better with the Blackhorn powder.
