Not required, but it helps especially if you do any other mods like a downpipe, cat or exhaust mods.

Technical Gauges enabled in the menu. I believe only 2020 and up have it.

@@johnkalad I have a 2022 stelvio sprint but whenever I enable it nothing changes in any mode I even toggle the menu button but the only performance screen I have is the g force screen.

@@XxDeViiLSniiPeRxX on the infotainment there is a Performance Guages section then select Technical Gauges. When you’re in D mode it should appear.

@@johnkalad maybe the sub models play a role when I do that nothing happens

I called my dealership just to confirm 100% before installing and their service manager confirmed it will not void the warranty for the vehicle itself. Although if you experience an issue with your air intake, causing a MAF to fail or something like that, I would imagine that would not be covered.

What are looking to know more about it?

@@johnkalad I couldn’t remove the air flow censor but was able to put the intake on. it won’t allow me to fit the heat shield to the intake.

@@rellohz2755 yes that part was tricky. I had to loosen the hose clamp on the filter, and actually start the bolts from the filter side going into the MAF. In order to have enough clearance for the bolt heads, I moved the filter hose clamp temporarily and I was able to squeeze the bolts in. Hope this helps.

@@johnkalad when I attempted to move the sensor I couldn’t. I don’t now how to remove it without breaking it. But the tube it was attached to was able to come lose from another tube (idk the write terms) but I then just connected the intake to the tube that was connected to the sensor. I then took them once connected and connected it to the tube that detached from the tube with the sensor. I wasn’t able to attach the heat shield but everything is connected. I was able to drive and the sound of the intake was ok, probably because I didn’t do something right. But I can only hear the intake if I’m driving , not when I’m in park and pressing the gas 🤦🏿‍♂️🤷🏿‍♂️ I wasn’t prepared for the install lol

@@rellohz2755 that’s actually normal. You won’t hear much until you’re actually driving and under load. When parked you will not hear much. You can try to install the heat shield using the technique I mentioned above though.

Go to the Performance Gauges card on the infotainment then select Technical Gauges, then when you’re on Dynamic driving mode it will display.

Also I believe it’s t is available only on 2020 models and newer

In defense the stock air box isn't allowing that much air in the engine .... the air may be a bit hotter with an opened air filter but their is more .

It's about 2c hotter on average than the stock one. It's faster cold but slightly slower or about the same hot. There's somebody on yt that measured the IAT
