I'd imagine these were soldiers from helicopters or ospreys that blew up before they got any orders. I guess most of them would be dead on impact, from the aliens, or from wounds so they'd be scarce and away from any other groups.

hopefully, it's in the plans to make some of these maps more realistic in terms of functionality and connection, take blast pit for example. how do you even get into the facility outside of the pipe and the bottom of the launch silo? black mesa partially helped by making some of these areas have an explanation, extra doors that are locked so previous point makes sense, and even goes as far as to add the previously nonexistant tram station after questionable ethics.

Is the ingame gamma maxed out in this video?

I know it woulda been a strain on hardware at the time, and probably too much work for the devs but the hd models should have included map geometry enhancements as well. Then the hd pack wouldnt have been ridiculed as much, at least i dont think it woulda

Thanks of featuring my MOD! It's too bad you haven't turned on the detail textures. They'll greatly improve the visuals. I would suggest you turn your gamma/brightness settings down a notch. The maps seem overly bright.

4:31 In the original map, theres supposed to be 3 HEV suits in the tubes but due to an oversight, you can't see them in-game. They're in the hammer files, though.

Intresssssting, my employee will be pleased with your work.

The actual map additions look great, but I can't help but feel that the original presentation is lost in some aspect, especially in the lighting and color department, a lot of these feels overly bright and almost washed out in some areas compared to the original's colder and darker atmosphere. And I also can't help but feel the new skyboxes are a bit jarring due to their high resolution next to the original textures
