Does anyone know what ship is to the left of the Imagination? I see it says Carnival but can’t see which ship.

My First and Second cruise was on that ship… R.I.P.

So many good memories on that ship.. my first and only cruise with so much family.

And if it wasn't for silly COVID restrictions, the ship would still be sailing. She likely had 15 sold years at sea left. I last saw her of the coast of Huntington Beach before she headed south to the Panama Canal and to her death in Turkey.

My first was on carnival imagination from Las Vegas

Wife and I and 70 other friends from my hometown was on it in February 1998. Sad to see it done for.

I sailed carnival imagination in 2018

I went on two cruises on the Imagination out of Long Beach. I'm saddened to see this happening and the horn crying at the end brings tears to my eyes.

It's good to hear her horn for the last time since 2016 I cruised on her six times. R.I.P Carnival Imagination.

i will miss her went on her in 2017 was a great getaway and the last time i acually had with my wife on a getaway loved the excursions

This breaks my heart to see as this was the exact ship me and my family went on a cruise back in 2019 and it’s gone forever. :( the fun I had on that vacation and I won’t forget it

I've been on many cruises aboard the Fantasy.. What I want to know is what happened to the LEGO model of the ship? I know it used to be displayed somewhere near the atrium. Did Carnival send that LEGO model along with the ship to the scrapyard or did they remove it before scrapping the ship? It was a very nice model.

This was the first cruise I ever went on and it gave me a love for cruising and for Carnival. So many great memories on that ship.

To hear all the crushing noise from breaking side deck parts is horrible. 'Captain, don't worry, it's gonna be scraped, anyway'.

November 23, 1996 our first Cruise was on the Imagination. The wife and I enjoyed it so much that we now been on 13 cruises and looking forward to #14. One thing we learned from the Imagination is Never, Never again will we ever take our sons on a Cruise....! We broke that rule in 2019 and quickly remembered why we had a no sons on a cruise rule!

I had the honour of being a member of the original crew that sailed her from Helsinki to Miami in 1995. Wilst in Finland, I also had the chance to witness the manoeuver that had her sister ship ( M/S Inspiration ) towed out of her assembly dock. This video makes me a bit sad.

I went to Cozumel on that ship somewhere around 2010.

Been on three cruises in my life, all three were on her out of Long Beach. May not have had all of the newest and most high tech features that we see on ships nowadays, but made up for it with great friends and fun atmosphere. Thanks for the memories!

I was on a boat trip on Holiday and this Ship passed by up on our little speedboat , the horn shook the boat , it was Sooooooo loud

Sailed on this for a 5 day out of Miami in 2005 on my honeymoon. It was my 1st cruise. While the decor on it was hideous (common to Carnival) the ship wasn't too bad. Stayed in V-17. Cruises are good vacations.

What a sad end for a cruise ship. No dignity at all. Ships squashed in all over the place.

I'm surprised really that they scrap them when the hull still looks fine and strong. This ship was only in service for 15 years. I suppose it's for the best as my family experienced the loss of 2 boys who would have become my cousins when I was born in 1970. They were sleeping in their cabin on the Lakonia whilst their parents were entertained at the tramps ball, as was the way at the time. They actually got locked in to 'keep them safe' and they would have been were it not for the fire and the ship sinking. The Lakonia was 34 years old and had several owners all slapping new paint on, especially when she was renamed TSMS Lakonia where she was painted in a brilliant white. They had painted over moving fixings for the lifeboats and their lowering mechanisms meaning some were unable to be freed. That ship had been launched in 1929 named the Johan van Oldenbarnevelt and as it had just been given a very sloppy overhaul, it would have remained in service for many more years had it not sunk.

I hope Carnival sunrise is next to be scrapped because thats the ship that was called triumph the ship had engine room fire, and bunch of junk all over. eeewww. please scrapped that ship as well.
