1030 am I have a 1989 with crank windows I watched your video and removed all I final step lifting the panel up ,it won't budge . I applied a lot of pressure to no avail .....?
Friend, I have a 2000 Civic automatic but it doesn't rev above 3500 rpm. I was surprised to see that your car revved that much. Anything i need to know? Or any tips to make it rev at higher rpm?
at the 10:43 mark. I need to find that light blue gasket to seal my tube. For the life of me I cannot find it. Can anyone help? mine is torn and leaking air like crazy. thanks
Can’t see shit 🤷🏾♂️
I don't think I want these guys working on my car 🙄😖
What wiring did you use or does it vary from car to car or SUV to SUV
I’m honestly not too sure what this wire was from. It shouldn’t make much of a difference, I would suggest copper and just make sure you’re using a suitable gauge.
I have a 2020 Ford Fusion 2.0 Turbo does the sensor actually get tight when it doesn't go in all the way because my old one was loose and leaking oil out of the electrical part that the wires plug into
Yes the sensor will be tight when it’s all the way in. I’m not sure about yours specifically, but these years will have some threads still visible when it’s all the way in. Be sure not to over tighten it though.
Thanks for creating and sharing this video! The details on the number of screws and size of sockets etc was great. Ordered a new part for $12 on Amazon, took about 15 minutes, all in, to grab the exact tools I needed and knocked this out! Probably saved me $150-200 from not taking it to a shop too!
I’m glad it was helpful! It really is such an easy DIY.
Let me ask you a question, first I’ll tell you my situation. My car doesn’t have ac and power steering, so I’m adding those back to it because the previous owner deleted them I think not sure. I already installed the compressor and all the ac system, next is the power steering, but what I found is that the pulley on the engine only has two parts, lines or whatever you call that for 2 belts (alternator and compressor) so there’s one missing for the steering, do I buy a pulley with 3 of them? Or can I just add a third one like you did there? If so, how do I ask for them? Or what the part is called? Thank you for your help.
Thanks for this. Very helpful. Took me 10 minutes.
You’re welcome, I’m glad it was helpful!
What size are those bolts you used for the exhaust flange
Best DIY video on battery cable conversion, thank you! Simple and to the point…
Thanks! I’m glad I was able to help :)
This was the best video on the Ford Fusion door handle replacement. Our's has been a very reliable and fun-to-drive car, and you made this repair simple. One suggestion: after removing the door panel, take a Sharpie thin marker and outline the position of the old door handle assembly; then, when you install the replacement, it will line up perfectly with the plastic door panel and finish piece.
I’m glad it was able to help you! Yeah these cars are very mechanically reliable. That’s a good tip! Hopefully others see the comment.

thanks, very helpfull...

Where did you get those arm rest from
They were on the truck when I bought it. I had someone tell me it looked like the door panels themselves were from a suburban.
Where did you get the door arm rest at??
These were on the truck when I bought it, I believe they are from a suburban of a similar year, don’t quote me on that though.
watching this while already finished installing my new mirrors
Did you get some lower profile mirrors?
how much clearance do you have between the bolt in there next to the pulley? i have just enough but it’s worry some
Yeah there really isn’t a lot of room, just gotta feel your way around. Hope it goes well!
The gasket that you gave us a link to is for the non Vtec engine. Yours is the Vtec engine and does not use the gasket that you gave us a link to. Hopefully you did not put it on your Vtec engine because you will have all kinds of leaks. Your engine uses a round shaped gasket the wrong one is flat and wide.
I just bought a idler pulley oem from honda and its smooth, it doesnt have any grooves in it. wrong part?
Thank you
You're welcome
🏆🛠 This is how to make an exceptional DIY repair video. You have a steady camera, clear and simple step-by-step narration, and there is no annoying and distracting metal/rap/hip hop "music" blasting in the background-- a hallmark of the true amateur RUclipsrs. Well done and I can now fix my broken Fusion's door handle.
Thank you Sir! I’m glad you found this informational.
Thank you for thid video. I will attempt this week on my parents 2012. I was going to have my bf do it, but I want to 😀
Not a problem. It’s pretty straight forward, you got this!
At least the size of the exhaust gasket I am having trouble finding that damn gasket! 😡
I might be a little late but you can get one on Amazon. They have tons of options.
What year of civic is this

This is the most useless video I’ve ever seen on how to remove a transmission seal.

Thanks

You did all that and it’s an auto? 😂😂😂
I’m just as disappointed
Thank you
You’re welcome, I hope it helped!
Little late commenting but I’m doing a d16z6 looking at doing an aftermarket manifold because mine is cracked will it change anything if I move the o2 sensor more downstream or do I gotta cut and put a bung for it in the aftermarket manifold
It depends on what you get. This manifold had 2 options for the O2 sensor and we used the one farther down, we didn’t have any issues with it reaching or throwing any codes.
I see this problem is actually very common amongst ford fusion owners. Both of my front ones have been jacked up and its time now
Yes it’s a very common problem because of how cheap the handle materials are. Luckily it’s a cheap fix too!
Why didnt you just bolt the eyelit rite to the bolt on the top post terminal head instead of cutting off the side post terminal eyelits? Would have saved time and saved rhe eyelite incase you went back to side post? Just a thot.🤷
Honestly didn’t even consider that as an option haha Thanks for the recommendation!
Thank you!!! 🎉
You’re welcome, hope it helped!
This was done extremely well and easy. Unfortunately my case was different and the bolt got stripped. Not much room for any other tools. So I just left it and hopefully it doesn’t go bad 😂 I might need to drop the engine in order to get some high power tool to take it off
Honestly I have no idea how this came off so easy haha It’s very common for these bolts to be a pain in the ass. Good luck!
What tool did you use godwilling
Sorry, tool for what specifically?
I have a 2008 pt cruiser here at the house that needs the ignition switch replaced. I have all the tools you mentioned and the two parts for the ignition that I wish to change out. I could not find an " ignition switch actuator pin" though for replacement in case mine breaks like yours did during the repair on Amazon though and a bit concerned with not having a spare on hand as it is not like I have another car to go up to the auto parts store. Since I can't find one on Amazon for a 2008 PT cruiser, do you know where I can actually order one off and please share the link? I would like to have a spare before getting the repair started just in case, I have everything else needed. Thank you in advance.
It looks like the 2008 model changed to a different style of ignition switch, which does not seem to have a pin like that.
@@jadehorizon1881 okay sounds good, thank you for your response, I changed out the 2008 ignition switch today and it worked fine. I purchased the 2008 tumbler and the ignition security part (forgot what it's called) and I have them both here now from Amazon, I will handle those in a few weeks when I have a bit more time to spare. At least the 2008 pt cruiser is operating as it should be now. Thank you again for your extended knowledge and research of the 2008 models.
@@RickyL305 not a problem, I’m glad you got it figured out!
Pass the smog?
Smog tests are not required in this state. I don’t see why it wouldn’t 🤷♂️
I need your help.. in the video at around 3:13 where you say "don't worry about this here, this doesn't need to come out.." what is that piece called? Im missing that little stopper/clip on the drivers side interior and it's burning my battery because i cant shut the interior light off. I need to find one and Im struggling to search for it because I don't know what to call it.. .
I’m probably a little late but I’m not 100% sure what that is called. I think a fastener or retainer clip would work 🤷♂️ sorry!
You said this is also older models. What about the 97 Thunderbird
That’s gonna be different but it is almost always going to be somewhere around the oil pan
This is the second time I’ve had to do this replacement on all four. I love this little grocery getter but my god did ford manufacture some shitty doors. Thanks for the video, it’s very helpful!
Wow that’s pretty bad. Haha I know, I mean would it have taken that much more effort to make a slightly better handle 🤷♂️
The doors are ok, the handle plastic is absolute crap trough.
@@dragonclaw242 agreed
Dude I’ve been struggling to find the location of the oil sensor in a mk1 Ford Kuga 2008 to 2012. Any idea where it it’s located. Thanks
Try checking RUclips for a Ford escape. That’s the North American version. It looks like it is in a similar location, right behind the oil filter. You will have to remove the filter to see/remove it
@@jadehorizon1881 thanks for the reply, yes It’s just below the oil filter. It’s tucked right behind the oil filler tube and looks like a right pita to get out 😂 I’ve got a high pressure in the fuel rail issue I can’t seem to solve. The car keeps cutting out in high revs when flooring it. I’ve changed the filter, high pressure fuel pump, regulator. Fuel rail sensor. Even had a leak off test done and still getting same issue. Car drives perfect in low revs. I’m really stumped. All I can now think of is maybe 02 sensors and oil pressure sensor (tho I don’t think the oil pressure and fuel pressure are related and just guessing now
@@NorthernIrelandFishingReports haha yeah it’s a very tight area. Wow it sounds like one of those should have fixed the issue, that sounds like quite a pain in the ass! I agree the oil pressure sensor is probably unrelated. I guess if you have replaced everything else trying an 02 sensor couldn’t hurt lol
@@jadehorizon1881 I’m praying it does and it’s also a pain to get at. It’s behind the engine bay down the back and my sausage fingers don’t fit lol 😂 the fuel pump and regulator I bought were second hand off eBay so starting to think maybe the regulator in the second hand one was shot as well so purchased a brand new one just to rule that out also. Do you have any experience with testing the fuel regulator. I’ve tested mine and getting 5.9 ohms and when putting a 12v current to it. I can hear it clicking. So I’m assuming it worked 😂
@@NorthernIrelandFishingReports haha of course it is. Nothing can be easily accessed eh. I don’t have any experience testing fuel regulators but if it’s clicking with power I would think it’s good? I did a quick check on some forums and it seems a common issue that could cause that is with the MAP sensor or IAC valve 🤷♂️
SOOO much easier than a GM! My clips didn’t break either- THANK YOU LOADS!
Haha yes, very straight forward! You’re welcome :)
Great video. Thanks
You’re welcome, hope it was helpful!
Thank you so much for your video. Your detailed explanation and clear video made this easy to repair. In fact, my 12-year-old son did it all with a little help removing the door from the clips. One of the larger clips was difficult to pry off. I actually used two wooden spoons to wedge it off. In another video, we watched it mentioned the part 81702 DORMAN. I’m glad you found yours for a few dollars. We bought ours on Amazon. We saved a lot of money having it done at the dealership, but not only that it was fun to do and your video was great.
You’re welcome. I love the to see the younger generations fixing stuff! Hope you and your son keep doing projects together.
Just happened on my moms 2008. Wish me luck😊 gonna try and save her some money
Good Luck! Will attempt on mine today.
@@dougd2723 it was easy, got part on Amazon for like 12. I did break a piece of one of the plastic pins but it's fine. Only thing that worried me was getting the panel back on but I got it
Good luck to both of you! I’m sure it will go well :)
Same issue, thanks for the video !
You’re welcome!
how tight is the nut that goes after the washer supposed to be?
I might be a little late with this, but it doesn’t need to be excessively tight, about 40 ft/lbs
