He makes it looks easy. I will have to watch it a few times until learning how to do it without a jig. The old man didn't grab any measuring device, only eye balling the bow itself, that is a ton of experience right in front of us, what a class. Thank you very much Sir!

Respectfully, you’ve got to consider changing your thumbnail for this video. Maybe even the title. I stumbled across it not as a search result but as a recommended video after another far inferior video. This isn’t the easiest to follow tutorial, or the easiest and clearest video, but it is an utterly charming 20 minutes of someone conveying knowledge from a lifetime of experience. It should have way more views.

Why would you spend 899.00 for a riser when you can get the exact same one cloned from china milled on a milling machine with the same exact metal for 150.00 ? Hoyt imports the metal blocks from china so you know its the same factory that is making all the blocks of metal .

Just built this with my dad and got it installed yesterday. I went with a different color stain. I used 4 anchors. Two at the top & bottom. And I beveled the edges. It turned out great. Wish I could attach a picture. Thanks for the easy directions.

I build my BB weights a tad different. I drill the mounting hole in the brass rod off center so that the weight can be skewed if needed. First I drill that off center hole with a 1/2" bit to a 1/2" depth, then continue drilling that hole completely through the brass with a 5/16" bit. A 2" 5/16"x24 bolt is run down into the the weight and, depending on the length of the weight, I use a Dremel carbide cutoff wheel to adjust the length of the bolt if needed That's it. i.imgur.com/gdXPhoI.jpg i.imgur.com/u3h6g2c.jpg i.imgur.com/GdhsHZm.jpg i.imgur.com/0oowwne.jpg i.imgur.com/WEr1MM5.jpg

This removed 95% of all the guess work with loop size, length etc I would absolutely love to hear his take on Aero tuning and how to pick the proper spine for your bow. I have a feeling he would completely demystify the entire industry

In barebow archery a simple plastic rest does the best job for me. Arrows bump on deep crawls and simple plastic has the least rebound.
