1969 Dodge Xplorer21 Camper Van
December 2021 I found a listing for an old camper on Facebook marketplace. The photos weren't the best but I recognized it. It had been up for sale over the last few years, this time at a price that made sense.
Video includes a slideshow from the first year's travels and a quick walk-through tour.

    Propane is heavier than air. That's why they always have the burners higher.

    the fuel line Mr Heater makes for their products is "oil free" and won't clog your gas orifices according to them. Good hack, but why not just make a more stable base instead? Thanks for the video.

    Has anyone tried this with the Buddy Golf Cart heater? The golf cart heater looks like it has a flat base that would possibly require no sawing into the stove drip pan.

  • @TinyGoHomes
    @TinyGoHomes 7 месяцев назад

    Should be obvious but the tank should be turned or screwed off before you turn the heater off to burn the fuel in the line.

    Two recommendations; first I would suggest you use the metal zip ties as the plastic ties break down and weaken over time. Second, you're exposing that rubber hose to high pressure propane which can leach out the oils within the rubber and foul up the Oxygen Depleation Sensors on the Little Buddy. Use the recommended filter.

    @jamesthornton-ei9fc 8 месяцев назад

    Great idea but you need a filter to run with that hose

    Thanks for the video , I like your fan , a question for you ! I bought a regular 12 volt fan , but takes 20 watts and makes a lot of noise, but works good, about that computer fan looks like perfect . Is it blowing enough for night time when your are lay down sleeping?

    • @PerfectlyGoodNobody
      @PerfectlyGoodNobody 9 месяцев назад

      It's not a forceful breeze. It's just a light wind that helps keep me cool. For me, the biggest selling point was the lack of noise. I do a lot of urban camping, being able to hear what's going on outside the car is important.

    I agree with it being top heavy, good fix, I'm not as handy so I wound up duct taping the plastic base to a concrete tile.

    Thanks for the video.. although i did everything you said.. ordered everything but it didn't work as smoothly for me.. but fixed mine to where i only had to buy a 3/8 to 3/8 male to female elbow and the 1"-20 male throw away adapter fitting... and that was it.. it's been working good for 4 days now.. no problems. Sits sturdy in the floor.. so basically i didn't need all the other elbows as in the video.. however thanks to your concept it really had helped us to use the little buddy for efficiently directly from the bigger tank.. also temperatures are low as 25 degrees but im able to sleep comfortably without feeling like I'm going to run out of propane

    I love that boat. I love the flush deck, and I'm dreaming of exploring the Canadian West coasts thousands of islands and majestic inlets as a soon to be retired 55 yr old. I am in the market for a sailboat but I'm not a sailor yet and I think this boat might require too much learning routine maintenance for a novice. I am too afraid of making a bad choice to embrace the opportunity that this beautiful boat presents. I hope that a capable sailor and sailboat tender will find you. Best wishes.

    • @PerfectlyGoodNobody
      @PerfectlyGoodNobody Год назад

      The cut away floor only gives you about 10 inches of clearance. I don't plan to use it for any serious overlanding. Although I did just pick up a small trail bike for the back.
