What's up and welcome to our channel! Mike and I (Kayla) are a husband and wife offroad team that live in Southern New Mexico. Most of our content involves the trails in this area but as we travel to some of our neighboring states you can expect to find videos of other exciting trails! Rear Steer Trails in New Mexico?

Join us as we follow 4 rear steer rigs up this hellacious trail in the Caballo Mountains. On some of these obstacles, these guys move inch by inch trying to keep their tires on the perfect line. As usual, the camera never does the obstacles justice!

We were invited to come hang out with some of the Colorado Scrambler crew as they explored some of the trails in the Caballo Mountains of New Mexico! In this video, we ran Godzilla, one leg of Ol Skool and backwards down Back to Skool. It was a super fun day out in the rocks!

This is a rated 8/9 trail in the Caballo Mountains and has quickly become one of our favorites! It has something for the built jeeps as well as the buggies. The trail ride didn't come without incidents, but that's all part of the adventure! We had a blast with @desertmountain4wdclub again this day! Hope you guys enjoy the video!

We had such a blast this day! We had @desertmountain4wdclub ride along with us, as well as a few other friends! Halfway through the video, I (Kayla) took Max and Rory back to camp so they could source an axle shaft and get everything fixed so they could wheel again on Saturday. Mike took over as the fearless leader and everyone else made it through the trail with no problems!

This is a rated 4 trail with some optional rated 5 obstacles you can play on. I highly recommend this trail to anyone wanting to "step up" their offroad experience. The scenery is also quite amazing this time of year with the rains.... everything is so green! Even though Mike and I have more than capable rigs for this trail, we still had a blast! Hope you guys enjoy the video.

We had a great time in Montrose Colorado with the @murphysgarage, @wheelinoutwest @tresamigosoffroad4457 and the @RockstarGarage crews. Thanks to all those who came out to lead trails and help make this event possible! This is day 1 of our GAC adventure! Die Tryin' is a 9 rated trail that lives up to it's name. It is almost a continuous technical boulder garden, with a few V notches in-between....

How does the traction compare to New Mexico? Coming from Eastern Canada we found the traction on the Rubicon amazing.
The rocks are kinda similar... a bit less smooth. The traction is New Mexico is good depending on what kind of tires you are running. The trails all differ, though... some waterfalls are super slick, and some you hook the tires right up. A lot of guys run stickies for the extreme trails. For all the other trails, I've seen all kinds of tires work well out here with the exception of Patagonias. The Patagonias rip side walls really easy and don't grip as well on the rocks.

Yes, as long as the alignment is good on the vehicle you're towing and you don't have any death wobble, it would work perfect
Coming from Eastern Canada, hoping to get to NM next year or the year after for about a week. Where would you recommend going and what time of year, prefer to avoid the hottest weather. Love your videos.
How cool! That's quite an adventure you've got planned. If you're able to, I highly recommend the fall season from October-December. Everything in the desert is so green during that time. The spring months are also pretty good, the scenery just isn't as pretty because the rainy season comes at the end of the summer. There are fun trails right outside of Las Cruces and also an hour north in the Caballo Area. I'd love to hear more about your set up. You can shoot me an email anytime at kayla.rich@gmail.com

😂🤣😂 right! Haha. No we've just been busy with our house remodel and then Mike put a doubler in his jeep over the winter... so we just didn't do much wheelin for a few months. Glad to be back at it!

Caballo Mountains, New Mexico. Trails in the video are The Narrows, Brandon Boulders and Crystal Canyon.

No it was in Faulkner Canyon. They've closed it all down over there now. "Private land"

Nice, wish I could of done that one, but the hydro assist is on the XJ as of yesterday, hopefully no more steering problems.

Certainly felt like a record! I don't think I've ever gotten through Crystal Canyon that fast.... and even after all the trails, we still made it back in the early afternoon hours 😅

thank you!!!!!! it hasn't been posted yet as a scout route in trails offroad. I'll be heading down there in a couple of weeks and check it out.
The doubler in that TJ with the 4cyl, needs to get a disconnect for the rear output so as to front digs. It'll be custom, but similar to TrailTough version for the Toyota since you have that 'longer' rear ds. Note: RHD TJ was spotted like it was a LHD TJ. LOL.
