The Patients Association is a healthcare charity which for over 50 years has advocated for better access to accurate and independent information for patients and the public; equal access to good quality health and social care for patients; and the right for patients to be involved in all aspects of decision making regarding their health care.

Knowing your rights and accessing support as a patient
As a patient living with cancer or a blood disorder, especially if you are from an underserved community, you are not only dealing with your medical condition, but you may also face non-medical issues, such as worrying about everyday essentials like healthy food, household bills or housing. All these things can have a negative impact on your health.
