Partrishow Church
St Issui's Church in Partrishow/Patrishow/Patricio, in Powys, Wales.
Dedicated to the Welsh saint who lived by a well sited near the church. A religious site since at least 1060, the present building is mostly 14th-15th century. The rood screen is from 1500.

All Saints' Church, Brockhampton, Herefordshire. An Arts & Crafts masterpiece, built 1901-2 for Alice Foster as a memorial to her parents. The architect was William Lethaby.

A Tuscan church in England. St Catherine's was rebuilt with local red sandstone in an Italian Romanesque style in the late 1870s, encasing a simple brick nave of 1840. The architect was John Pollard Seddon. An astonishing achievement.
The Chapel, Compton Verney

A fine Georgian Chapel, built to replace an older church in the grounds of Compton Verney, which was demolished as part of Capability Brown's landscaping works. The Chapel fell into disrepair in the 20th century before being restored in 2016.
Chesterton Church

Church of St Giles, Chesterton, Warwickshire. The core of this church is 13th century, fine brick gateway and spectacular tombs inside the church all relate to the Peyto family, whose grand manor lay near the church. The house is gone, but the windmill the family built still stands as a famous local landmark.

St Laurence's Church at Combe Longa in Oxfordshire is most well known for the remarkable series of surviving 15th century wall paintings, particularly the Doom above the chancel arch. They were rediscovered in the 1890s during a church restoration.
Fawley Church

St Mary's, Fawley, Berkshire. This large Victorian Anglo-French Gothic Church was built in 1865 to designs by the notable architect G E Street. It serves a tiny isolated hamlet high up in the North Wessex Downs. The church and village are featured (and accurately described) in Thomas Hardy's Jude the Obscure, where they are known as Marygreen, Jude's childhood home.

St Michael's, Aldbourne, Wiltshire. A church largely constructed over the 13th-15th centuries, the striking tower is of 1460. The impressive alabaster monuments are dedicated to various members of the Goddard family of Upper Upham.
Kempsford Church

St Mary the Virgin, Kempsford, Gloucestershire. The nave dates from around 1120, the chancel and tower were constructed in the next century, although the tower was subsequently rebuilt in the 15th century. G E Street undertook a thorough restoration in 1858, from which time much of the interior decoration dates.
