This scan tool is useless on Mercedes. Doesn’t read codes, can’t clear any lights. Doesn’t detect vin. But it can see the speed I’m going. That’s it.

What about glow plug programming?

If you think you are buying a product that is manufactured in the USA then you are getting smoked. The ICON smoke machine is made solely and entirely in China for Harbor Freight excusably. The only thing made in the USA is the label on the unit. I know this because I used to deliver to their office at 26677 Agoura Rd Calabasas, CA 91302. These owners are father and son, Eric Smidt and Allan Smidt are liberal pigs that contribute to Gavin Newsom and the democratic party. They both own huge motor yachts and care nothing about carbon footprint reduction.

If this tool could erase the p1745 and p0868 tcm codes by performing the line pressure variable force sensor and tooth count reset and get my 2014 dodge grand Caravan sxt 3.6l out of limp mode id buy it only one scantool can do it and is impossible to get to do it is the vident ilink400 single make scantool with the Chrysler software download. I cant tell you how many videos and scantools ive been looking at im just about ready to give up and go to the stealership to get it done.

Is it able to tell if the bcm or ecm or tcm is bad? I’m having something wrong with electrical and just a regular scanner isn’t doing the trick

I ordered the temu one today, those ratchet wrenches is only for transportation of the bolt and you hand tighten them when they are in. I would love a 1/4 one instead of 3/8. Great video!

Have had nothing but issues with it. Problems with it not communicating, sometimes not picking up basic modules like ABS on certain models. Fighting with the store so I don't have to pay a restocking fee. You know its bad when the dated Matco Maxlite it was bought to replace can still run circles around it while it's being phased out.

Craftsman is really lacking

Sorry but you didn’t show anything everyone talk about the same sensor o2 sensor makes no sense, need to show power balance relative compression live data from ftp/fuel rail pressure/maf/vct actual pida that veh have now days and show powerful information and perform actual test and live data if you’re going to promote a scanner not just scroll through screens just saying I know you can do better than this

my Harbor Freight doesn’t lower the price very much. I stopped looking on the clearance/return/missing parts shelf.

Its missing cuz people steal specific pieces / sizes out of the set for what they need.

"...And ECU coding." I would absolutely love to see this thing do SVM coding and new module security authentication on an Audi, or code replacement modules on a geolocation-locked Mercedes. Fairly certain it can't, but Launch has pulled off some pretty crazy software hacks in the past, some of which arguably fall into felony territory. I would love to ditch the remote programming service I use, but as it stands, I have yet to see a third-party scantool that can properly and reliably deal with Mercedes and Audis, and I don't do enough of them to justify a dedicated ODIS and Xentry setup.

What a very nice and concise review. We have an Autel and Snap on Versus at work. For the money this has been a great back up/ extra scanner. It is very intuitive and continues to surprise us as to functionality.

So it’s a 900 scan tool for reading things. Interesting my 50 scanner works on a 2020 ram 1500 and I can make changes behind the gateway…. Icon can not get around gateways nor is it part of autel auto
