When he said he would play a blues I expected a backing track to kick in, but once he started playing I never even missed it so on point.

Thanks Joel. Sad to be losing you. I have to suspect there are one or two cats in Nashville who consider themselves to be the very top jazz players in town who are just a little bit nervous to hear this news ;) We will miss you in NY. But you are bound to be back from time to time. We’ll come out to see you whenever you return. Your main point in this video is well taken. Playing with other people is EVERYTHING. There is no growth, no fun, no jazz without it. Good luck in Nashville.

Yes Joel, the social aspect is the main thing for me and the other people I normally would play, talk, listen to music with. Your thoughts are very well articulated and I think you speak for all of us!

Singers that have the opportunity to perform with Peg at the keyboard are in good hands for sure. Accompanying singers is a very special talent. So nice to hear her talk about some of the finer points of this specialized skill. We are lucky to have Peg right here with us in the Capital District.

What a wonderful idea to have this greatly accomplished and greatly loved musician to share her views and knowledge with us all. Working with Peg in the Marlowe Big Band was one of my best learning experiences and one I will always be grateful for. Thank you, Peg (and Bill)

That was great! So helpful to singers and their accompanists! Peg is such a talented, creative, generous and supportive musician! The capital district is so fortunate to have her...vocalists, instrumentalists, and audiences alike! Thank you, Peg. Thanks to CDJ for producing this series.
