Il laico cattolico di rito latino poteva partecipare alle liturgie greco-cattoliche prima del Concilio Vaticano secondo?
I'm a traditional Roman Catholic. From my understanding, a Catholic can participate at the traditional Byzantine rite Mass. I say "traditional" because I came across a modern Byzantine mass on RUclips. Still, I would ask a priest. God bless you!

SI. Los fieles católicos de rito latino pueden (y siempre han podido) participar en las liturgias de todas las iglesias orientales en comunión con Roma. Esa es precisamente la razón de estar en comunión en la misma iglesia que es UNA y CATÓLICA (universal): una iglesia, una comunión, se comparten los sacramentos. Pero antes de comulgar, recomendaría hablar con el sacerdote de la iglesia primero por el simple hecho de que cada iglesia tiene sus propias normas/tradiciones para prepararse a recibir la eucaristía (ayuno, confesión, etc). Lo que quizás pueda causar confusión son las iglesias ortodoxas en cisma con Roma: como no son parte de la iglesia católica, en esas solo puedes asistir como "espectador" e incluso orar con ellos... pero NO comulgar. La iglesia católica considera que los sacramentos de las iglesia ortodoxas son válidos (pero ilícitos) y que el clero ha recibido una ordenación valida (pero en un estado de cisma y fuera de la iglesia). Es decir, que solo en casos de emergencia (por ejemplo, si estás en una región que no tiene sacerdote católico y necesitas extremaunción) la iglesia permite asistir a un sacerdote fuera de la iglesia, pero para eso también tienes que hablar con el sacerdote en cuestión porque te lo puede negar. Pero recuerda que esto solo se puede hacer en casos de grave y urgente necesidad, no de manera habitual. Esta concesión se explica en uno de los documentos del concilio V2 pero la práctica ha estado permitida desde muchísimo antes y por lo tanto no es nada novedoso (piensa por ejemplo en países musulmanes donde la práctica de la fe cristiana está a veces perseguida y es muy difícil encontrar una iglesia: en esos casos la iglesia a permitido la comunión con iglesias separadas por muchos siglos). Pero para responder tu pregunta inicial: puedes comulgar en cualquier iglesia CATÓLICA de rito oriental cuando quieras y siguiendo las debidas costumbres.

it's the traditional Alexandrian Rite, but it's in a Latin Rite Church.
Unless one would pay really close attention, and the lack of some details like the humeral veil, there are some instances during this Mass that look nearly identical to the Old Roman Rite! Aside from the unfortunate changes the new Mass brought about, the Church would benefit greatly if all Novus Ordo Masses were done similar to this. Deo Gratias, and thank you, your Eminence!
Just Return to Tradition as a Whole. Our Church has been taken over by Modernism and Worldly sin. Even the Pope at the time stayed Vatican II was NOT infallible.😊

I’m not so sure it’s as clear cut as that. States can be evil - mostly under Satans influence - and then their police will be evil too. For instance the Apartheid police force in South Africa. Or police can violate their call and be corrupt - think of the connection between sexual violence, bribery, and the Vice Squad in the 70s. So it’s not like the police are purely on Gods side and those they tackle are purely evil

As a disabled (now housebound) Catholic, I found this Mas and Benediction very moving. At times this had me in tears. The Mass was BEAUTIFUL. I guess it wasn't to everyone's taste, but it's the 'compromise' of three 'different' Masses. The Extaordinary Form (Tridentine) which some find it 'too long and ''boring"'. The vernacular (mother-tongue) which sometimes develops into 'chaos', depending on the people (and priest) involved; ie Folk Mass, (with guitars, drums; etc., though I personally have nothing against them) etc. And this version, which is in Latin except for the Epistle, Gospel and Sermon. It made me proud to be a Roman Catholic. It both humbled me and exalted me at the same time. To His Eminence, THANK YOU. If you are not elected Pope after Pope Francis, there is something wrong with the Sacred College, and I say that with the greatest respect. You were comsecrated a BIshop in 1991. You have vast pastoral, educatioal and spritual experience. I love God, His Co-Equal Son, The Holy Spirit, His HOly Church, and Mary, His Most Holy Mother. May Flights of Angels lead me, at the end, into Their Most Blessed Company in Paradise. Amen.

Can you explain the difference. I belong to an oriental catholic church (syro-malabar) were Syriac was used until the 60's change.
@@imerge3054 the Novus Ordo dramatically altered the ancient traditional Roman Rite in prayers, rubrics, calendar, and readings such that about 70% of the new rite no longer resembled the former. In the video, the Novus Ordo is celebrated in a manner more in keeping with the spirit of the traditional rite, but nevertheless the prayers, rubrics, and readings differ significantly.
